The Model Look
I find it wierd that a lot of t.v. shows, magazines, etc... make it seem like most women want that anorexic look (I know a good amount of women do) but I feel like all of the women women I know want a more curvy look (not curvy in the way fat people use it but as in having some junk in the trunk and breats)
How about all of you?

I think it's strange, too. The fashion and ad industry seems to promote the anorexic look on the runway and in magazines, but nearly everyone else, including me and everyone I know, thinks women look better with some curves and softness. That's how we're supposed to look! Curves are good things. They give the people we love something to cup their hands around!!

I love my love handles, I'd rather have those than stick hips.

The Model Look
hmmmm I like the skinny look where you dont look like a 9 year old boy and you still have your hour glass figure and your boobs

The Model Look
The anorexic look is popular on runways and for clothes ads and stuff because literally, the girls are hangers with a pretty face (and even sometimes, not so pretty). On runways they either have extremely outrageous hair and makeup or none at all as to draw your attention to the CLOTHES not how pretty the girl's face is, yanno?
I've got curves and junk in the trunk (and bewbies!) but I'm lookin' to flatten out my belly, not look like a 9 year old boy.. I dig it, reb.

Yep, you're totally right about that BFA. Those girls look like hangers on the runway so the clothes will be the standout, not the girls themselves.
When I'm at the weight I want to be, I have curves, too, and like that about myself. Right now that's not as easy for me to achieve, but I'm still not runway thin. Just thin compared to what I normally am. I worry about women who want to be stick thin. Not a good thing. Of course, I worry a whole lot more about the increasing numbers of folks who're at a deadly level of obesity. I think everyone in health care worries about that.

im surprised that advertising hasnt caught on that most males arent into the heroine look anymore. dont get me wrong i like a fit girl who takes care of herself. but i sure dont want her to be overly obsessive about her weight.

I hate weight ... I'm pretty slim myself I am about 5'9 and 125 lbs, but in the start of the year I was about 115 (because I was on adderall and I didn't eat as much) and while I was that skinny I wanted some of my ass and my chest back ... but not that I have all that back I feel like I need to loose weight because I gained it.

I don't like the "model look." I realize how much work it takes to look how they look, but it just doesn't appeal to me. I prefer women with a little extra baggage. Not so much that they're corpulent slobs, but enough to grab onto when I'm cuddling, working the mojo, etc.

I think curvy women, especially celebrities like America Ferrara, are absolutely beautiful. I'd kill to have her perfectly placed curves!
The industry of fashion, to me, (especially outrageously expensive brands, like Versace, ect.) is nothing more than some fluffy business with slave-like workers focused on the whims of some 50-some year old guru whose face looks like it's made from some kind of unearthly plastic...
Who actually thinks some of these so-called "fashions" on the runways even look remotely wearable?
