6th best yo yo'er

So friday night, me, my buddy and his gf, and another one of my buddies all hung out and got fucked up. We went to the mall and as we were walking out somehow we got to talking to this other kid, and my friends gf said she went to school with him and that he was like the 6th best yo-yo er' in the world. Cuz he won sixth place in a world competition. So we walked out and he pulled a $200 yo yo out and we recorded him yo yo ing on our phones. It was soo awesome. And on my video I recorded, at the end you can hear my friends say.."wow, you musta had a lot of free time on your hands" haha....:stoned:

how do they judge yo yo'ing comps?? and, why was the yo yo 200 bucks??

i was guilty of owning a over 200 dollar yo-yo, hey man it had ball bearings that self lubricated , made of light weight aluminum and could do a 60 second dead spin and still have plenty of life left for tricks......that my friend is a true fun toy

^^ oh damn they get all crazy.. haha.. i member when yo yo's got popular in my area around like 4th or 5th grade... the only one i ever owned was one that my buddy got me on my b-day...

i could do some crazy stuff with yo-yo's a long time ago, and yes i did have loads of free time, i was working at the mall on a cart and between customers i would yo-yo like mad sometimes for 45min before i would have another customer, i did this for a year and got pretty good at it and drew crowds sometimes when i was having a good day.

my next door neighbor had one.

i remember those got all big when i was in 6th grade. my mom got me one of the bumble bees and i was never really good.

i remember i was doing some tricks and there was maybe 5 people watching and this 8yr old Asian kids watching for about 10 min so i show him some good shit acting all like im the man and all, well this kids whips out a yo-yo and starts tearing up making me look fucking old school and walks away......little bastard :cursing:

i used to want to be really good at yo-yoing when i was younger. i remember my black fireball that i always played with. lol.

i had one that wasn't quite 200... but it did have ball bearings, i kept it greased regularly too.... been aloooooooooooooooooong time now... i know it wasn't over 100.. but it wasn't some 10 or 20 dollar kids yoyo..
