I am going to be getting my tonsils removed in about a week. My tonsils have been getting infected lately and my docter has scheduled them to come out. I know usually people get them out when they are really young but I have been having a lot of problems with them later in my life. My question is will smoking right after the surgery have any negative effects on my throat or the stitches?
uhm, I'd think that unless you use some ultra wonderful godly smoking method that makes the smoke taste like normal air, I think smoking after that kind of surgery would be aweful. Try vaping through three chambers of ice water, a diffuser, a percolator, and an icecatcher. That oughta be smooth ;)
I think I am going to want to wait anyway but will the smoke itself do any damage other than it maybe irritating it?
Probably not if it is irritating it you'll know
Why risk it? Take that break from smoking just to be sure you dont do any damage because im sure smoke will do nothing good for your throat especially after surgery. But then when you come back from the little break your tolerance will be lower and you'll be as high as kite when you blaze up.:thumbsup:
i hope u know their going to draw your blood and run tests on right before you go into surgery...i had mines removed last year
not to be an ass or anything, but everyone i know that had their tonsils taken out in their later years said it was hell. i even know a couple ladies that said it was worse than child birth and had to be out of work for a month. ill suggest not to smoke after the surgery, but i guarantee you wont even bother to try.
