cfl grow: t5, cfl, many or one large?

ok, so i'm going to do my first grow; it will be northern lights, standard nirvana seed.

i haven't decided yet whether i will do a veg and flower room, or just one grow all the way through.


anyway, what i'm leaning towards is just doing one grow in my closet. it's about 6feet tall by 9feet wide by 3feet deep.

and because of heat, it has to be flouro or cfl.

now, i'm trying to decide which. if i do it this way i'll use the same lights for veg and flower

long t5 tubes make a lot of sense giving the shape of the closet (long and thin, standard double sliding door closet), but i'm unsure if it's the best way to go. also i guess i'd be needing some sort of ballast for that? i'm unsure


so if i go this route (the closet), it'll be deciding between

1. several smaller cfl's, say from wallmart
2. one or two large cfl's
3. a few flouro tubes


suggestions? ease of use, heat, and electricity costs are the issues. i'd like to use a HPS to flower, but if i grow in my closet it will be too hot

for instance, what if i had two hoods, both with one warm and one cool of these

same problem i was faceing... i was gonna to use 2-4ft t-5's giving off 5200lumens a peice, but because of location promblems had to switch to CFL's... priced it out and serval smaller 24watt 1600lumen and 42-watt 2400lumen CFLs are alot cheaper per lumen than one single large 100 or 150 watt.... but havent tried it out yet, so ill let u know how it goes....

cheaper to buy or cheaper to operate (electricity) i assume you mean cheaper to buy. anyway, i'm definitely leaning toward walmart cfl's and utility clip fixtures at least for veg
