Best way to clean glass???

Lately I have been seeing a lot of posts about how to clean pieces especially glass. Some ways such as using denture cleaner to clean out the resin. (thanks samwhore)

But my question is: What is the best method (and by best I do not mean the easiest, but what cleans the most thoroughly) to clean a piece made out of glass.

i like your name, you should try a couple of the methods you found on here and see which one works best for ya ;) .

Denatured alcohol and salt. 7.00 for a gallon , that is like 100 cleanings Cheapest solution ever, and works the best. Takes less than 2 mins, no residue, glass as clean as the day it was bought. You cannot save/smoke your resin with this method though, you simply discard it (like you're 'sposed to ;))

I was thinking about doing that, but before I went through all of the hassle of going about and trying every method possible, I would just ask here if people have already done it. But I may just end up expirementing for myself, we'll see.

I was thinking that this method would be a strong contender for the best. But does it work if you have a lot of build-up of resin or would you have to do it fairly often before the resin gets too thick?

It works - period. hehe Denatured alcohol is no joke, cuts through nearly anything, almost instantly. Just make sure you rinse it really really good before using it - flame and alcohol fumes = bad medicine. Seriously though, its the best thing I've ever found for cleaning glass. I use it on my car windows, sliding glass doors, mirrors, etc - you name it

The thread in my signature describes samwhore's method of cleaning glass. If you let it soak long enough, this is the best ( most through ) way of cleaning glass that I have ever tried.

A ziploc bag, rubbing alcohol, and salt should do it.

Simple soap and water. If you are trying to get the tight spots, pipecleaners work. (those cool looking fuzzy sticks)

thats exactly what i use! i have found that denatured alcohol is by far the best, even over products marketed towards pipe cleaning (formula 420, etc.) i let my glass soak overnight or even a couple days in it, in one of those ziplock tupperware things. then i pour coarse salt (margarita salt) in the container and shake it slightly (wouldnt recommend this on delicate pieces though). then i use q-tips to wipe out any remaining resin. just rinse with high pressure faucet water then, pushing all the clumps out. like tokudai said, you can get your glass almost as perfect as the day you got it.
