first time

So today i planted a few seeds in this field behind my house. Im not using pots or any special soil or anything just planted them in the ground.Im only 15 so i cant go out and buy a whole bunch of stuff for growing my parents would know someting was up. I was wondering how many weeks does it take to go from seed to being ready to harvest. Also how much water should I give them a day.
