this is first time ive ever used co2 and im at 54 days into flowering and they some seem ready. here's a few pics of my setup just to show you what ive been up to lately.

pics of plants were taken 3 weeks ago. pics of room are 7 weeks ago.
no it doesn't it just increases plant mass if your other shit is dialed in right. you still have the same # of days to harvest that is strain-dependent.

Well I find that when I used CO² not only was my yield greater but the total time to finish was reduced by 2 weeks. You do need to have a proper sealed room and control the environment but YES it will reduce your over all time by 10-14 day's or more in some strains.
The only way to tell when you are done is by viewing the trichomes with a 30x pocket lighted microscope.
Plants don't read calendars; follow the trichomes to know for sure.

Correlation between CO2 and decreased time to harvest is actually a result of the higher temps you can run while using CO2... it's not the CO2 itself... temps increase overall metabolism.
So you are saying you don't need to use CO² it's a waste of time and money? You can just crank the temps and get the same results?Quote:

There is no way in HELL that I could have ever grown KBS with out CO².
You are correct that it will only really do you good if all the other environment factors are in harmony. CO² is a booster for the plant just like fat flower, madd-farmer, and the other flower boosters. You can grow with out them yes but you yield is not as high and your finish time is longer.
This FACT has been proven over and over again on this forum and just about every single book written on plant botany about the benefits of enhanced CO².

NO that is not what I am saying at all.
CO2 in regular temperatures will not make plants react in the same way as CO2 in ELEVATED temperatures.
For CO2 to be effective you also need to boost your temps beyond what would be considered healthy for a plant in a non-enriched atmosphere.
In REGULAR atmospheric conditions, with ELEVATED temperatures, a plant's metabolism will crank up but it will start to show signs of stress as it transpires gases and water fastern than the roots can take up water and the leaves can take in CO2.
In ENRICHED atmosphere, the metabolism increases (and yes this is what decreases length of flowering time) BUT now there is more CO2 available, and as long as you keep up with the plant's water demands so the damned thing doesn't croak, it can put on far more mass...
Anyway we are talking different languages. I never EVER in any of my posts said that you can 'just crank up temps and get the same results'. We're talking shortened time to harvest, not whether you can grow a much better plant using CO2.
I have no idea whatsoever how you interpreted my post in that way.
