quick glass spoon question...
hey guys, i was just wondering...
out of those of you who have glass pieces with designs on them (colored lines and such), were they already on the piece when you bought it, or did it take resination to get them to show up? i was just wondering because i saw a piece like that, but the inside of the bowl looked squeaky clean! idk i got confused...

Resination doesn't change the color or design on any pipes as far as I know. Resin will only sort of add a tint to pipes that are see-through. Aside from that, what you see is what you get.

ya my glass pipe had the designs on it from day one

oh really?
the colors on mine:
Squidward - Cannabis Photo Gallery
came in after i had smoked out of it a pretty good bit. before that, it was clear with those blue lines around it. the blue/purple fade was all resination.

if you get a color changing pipe i think it has like some metals in it or something that when it gets resin on it, it changes color...i think thats how it works...but if its just a normal glass pipe youll just get a brown tint

Gold and silver fuming makes it change color, but I think heat causes it to change, not resin. Not entirely sure about what I'm saying because I never figured it all out for sure, so someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I dunno, I just chalk it up to magic when the colors change :p

My bubbler for example (pictured below) already had the color in it when I bought it. It was blue, just like that, and the clear spaces inbetween, turn dark brown-black after use.
I have a glass spoon though where only the bowl had color on it when I bought it. It is now getting darker, and the colors are starting to come through.
So if you buy a piece, you have to look at it closely to see if it is color changing or not. You can usually tell if you put some really dark, like a sleeve of a sweater, beneath the glass. You can usually see a tint at a slight angle of the colors to come.
