3000 lumens a square foot is for great growing, 1000 is minimal. You want to get larger wattages to get light penetration. Here is a little link on lighting:
Chapter 8 - LIGHT
What kind of grow area are you using? (closet? measurements?)
The way I learned is you want 50 watts per sq.ft,especially to flower with. For example an 8 by 8 room approx 64 sq ft would require 3K in HID lighting(perfect for 60 sq ft actually).I guess its beneficial to know both formulas
the closet is only 2x6' how many lights do I use?:rasta:
the bulbs i shoed you are approx 13000 lumens, i would recomend you to use about 4 to 6 of them in the room you are useing. . .i would think 4would do you just fine. have u started growing yet??? you should get some pix on here.
good luck!
