Please give me public speaking topic ideas.

I have to write and present a 5 minute pulic speaking speech and I have no clue what to do it on. It's my fifth year doing it (stupid curriculum) and I really can't think of anything I would like to do it on. PLease don't tell me to do it on abortion, smoking, drugs, euthanasia, global warming or any other over done, boring topics. I need something strong that has a lot that can be said about it. Something original preferably, but I don't mind.

It's bad enough I have to write a good speech and present it by Friday, I have to email an outline to my teacher by 12am (it's 7:07pm right now)


Any suggestions?

Homeless in America
Proverty in America
The state of our welfare system
The state of the healthcare system
Is there really a middle america ?

I really can't think of anything that hasnt been done before. Sorry I hope you can come up with something

It could be about anything. As long as I prove my arguements properly.

the american penal system
the change in car design over the last 60yrs
the difference btwn WWI and WWII dogfighting techniques and outcomes
zebras and why they are cool
hippos and why they are cooler
giraffes and why they look like hippos but are even cooler
lol write something completely ridiculously hilarious so someone finally enjoys a speech in ur class

You can include that there is an urban legend that Mr. ED was really a zebra. Of course he wasn't but people do believe that he was.
