My Room

Just thought I would post some pictures of the room that I grow everything in so that you can see my side of the world. Picture 1 is of my plants just as they went under the 400 watt MH. There are about 6 different strains in this grow. Picture 2 is of the plants now and they will be going under flowering this Saturday and I will be using 1 600 watt and a 400 watt HPS for that. I still have to transplant the ones in 6 inch pots to pails, but that will all be done today.

Picture 3 is of where I veg my plants. Just a closet that is 4 x 2 feet and it works out perfect for 32 plants. I will also have an area of 2 x 3 feet lit by the 400 watt MH once I switch over to flowering.

Picture 4 is of where I clone my plants. I have a metal shelf that is 2 x 3 feet and the bottom I use for cloning. I can fit 6 of those pails under there and each pail holds 8 plants and so I can clone up to 48 plants at a time. I have exellent results doing it this way and it takes from 7 to 10 days to show roots.

Picture 5 is the lights I just got yesterday and so now I am prepared to put up the plastic to separate the room and start flowering. I found a decent place in Winnipeg that sells lights fairly cheap. For the 400 watt MH ($36), 400 watt HPS ($15) and 600 watt HPS ($69) so I payed $120 plus tax and shipping. The cheapest place I found where I live at the hydro shops in this town was $150 so doing it this way was a lot cheaper.

Now I hope the pictures come up in order, but if not I am sure that you can figure them out. :)

Those prices are for the ballast, bulb and everything else needed? If so that's damn cheap, almost too cheap! My bulbs alone cost more than that!

I just bought a digital 400 to add to my 2 others that are the old "standards" and it works well enough...not sure yet if they're worth the extra $100 but it's only been running for less than 2 days so time will tell. I was told they run a lot cooler but I don't see it.

good job...hope you don't tell anyone local that you are growing 50+ plants. That's federal.

you have 56 plants under a 400watt metal halide?
ha good luck
the most i've fit is 15 plants under a 1000 watt with no stretching
those plants are gonna get huge big youll need way stronger lighting if you plan on keeping all those live plants

stripedseed, well, first of all, did you jack that avy from ericwt? :) I know his new one is more "jammin," but I could've sworn he just had this one recently.

Well, that room looks awesome. Good stuff, man. Looks like your plants are doing well, but from the pictures, you look like you need more lights, man. That flower room looks like it just has ONE 400w light?! That's a lot of plants for that small light.
