What ratio of Bowls to Joints do you smoke?

I was wondering what ratio of bowls (Pipes and bongs) do you smoke compared to joints or blunts. I want to know because all the Americans on here seem to enjoy there pipes and bongs more than joints. Yet in England most people i know will smoke joints and then the occasional shotty or bong, I've only seen someone use a pipe once in England.

For me the ratio is

To be fair I can't roll worth a shit so I just hit the bong when I smoke by myself and smoke joints when I'm in a bigger group :thumbsup:

I rarely smoke joints. I prefer the vape, followed by a couple hits outa one of my bongs, and maybe a hit off of a pipe for a closer. I smoke probably about 1 joint for every 80 bowls I smoke.

I like joints but it's easier to just pinch a piece of bud and throw it into a bowl. Also with a bowl I can smoke at my own pace and not watch all my bud burn away. I'll be smoking more joints soon as i've havrested my crop.

4 joints for every bong. Bongs arent respectful to the weed man. Joints and blunts feel more right, more classy. Vapes are the best but doesnt give me the joy of smoking it.

I never smoke joints with my weed. I prefer glass or water pieces, but if others roll one up with their weed, sure, I'll smoke it. :p but that never happens as my friends are all cheap asses.

If im having a stoning sesh before college or something I like to smoke a lot of bongs since im not with anyone. In groups joints are more frequently used although the odd bong and pipe gets called in.

For me, bowls to joints is about 10:1.

Joints are great and everything, but I really only roll them when I'm broke and can only afford shake. Other than that, I think I prefer my pipe or a nice bong to a joint anyday, because there's something nice and kinda personal about having your own piece that you regularly smoke out of. It's kinda like a little buddy, it'll accompany you wherever you go and be there for you when things aren't going quite right and you need something to relax with.

When you smoke a joint down, their gone and you just chuck 'em. With a pipe, it seems more personal and more intimate:4:.

I really really really really really don't like joints. Smells too much. Takes too long to roll one and smoke it (compared to a pipe or bong, which takes 30 seconds to grab and prepare and about a minute per bowl.) Not to mention the fact joints don't get me anywhere near as high as a pipe.

The crappier the weed, the more likely it will be rolled into a joint, so it varies depending on what is available. Smoking high quality weed in a joint just strikes me as a sin against man and God.

Standard outdoor commercial non-sinsemilla, which you have to break up and clean of stems and seeds anyway, tend to work really well in joints. Mostly sativa (as far as I can tell), they give a nice, energetic, bright sunny day kind of high.

Hydroponic sinsemilla on the other hand, deserves a little more care and attention (in my opinion).

I like a blown glass pipe; I find it is the most "neutral" material to make bowls out of - metal and wooden bowls have their own "taste", and metal bowls tend to get hot. When I am sampling weed to ascertain its quality and taste, the best way to get an accurate read is from a glass bowl - nothing is added to the taste from the charred, resinated wood, and there's no nasty metal taste either.

The biggest issue with bongs is their relative lack of concealability and portability. But I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy bonghits from time to time. Right now I don't even own one, though.

Right now I'm smoking exclusively from a glass bowl. Bongs were more something I had around in college. The other thing is, especially with the acrylic ones, bongs get downright nasty over time, and in my case at least, wind up breaking. If you scrape your bong, you're also scraping (and smoking) acrylic, which doesn't particularly turn me on.

One of the nicest things I ever smoked from was one of those glass Tobaccomaster waterpipes with the little stand/holder. They are somewhat fragile but if I had a choice of anything to smoke out of, it would probably be one of those.

Over the years probably bowl, bong, joint evened out. I never liked blunts. I just don't really get the point. I just don't have the money to afford that much wasted sidestream smoke and I openly challenge the idea that they get you any higher (and yes, I have tried them on a few occasions, but not in years).

If I want to, I can just take massive equivalent hits from a joint, pipe, or bong (and also avoid the tobacco, which I hate). Plus, I'm fairly suburban, and feel like a phony smoking them anyway. But to each his own.

IMHO, the whole cannabis scene started going downhill when hip hop culture started defining it. The pot parade/celebration in Washington Square Park turned notably nastier in the early 1990s, when it changed from a sort of hippie countercultural thing to a "get blunted" inner city thing. One year there was almost a riot because someone started throwing glass bottles.

It's interesting to look at High Times from 1990 to about 1993, to see how cannabis culture changed.
