HPS Temps...

Hey guys.

Used to be on OG (as I am sure many others here were)... been lurking for a week or two here. :rastasmoke:

I am planning to start a second op... I used CFL's last time. However, I am planning/thinking about using a 150-250w HPS this time... I'm planning to go the rubbermaid route with this op, however I was wondering what kind of temperatures I should be expecting?

I know HID's obviously run a decent bit hotter than CFL's, however I'm wondering if a say 150/250w HPS would be too hot for a closet grow of two 50gal tubs with good ventilation?

I did some research and found that they don't go much past 180F at the surface of the bulb? I don't want it melting plastic! ;) :o

i use a 250 mh in my closet and im thinking of getting a 400 i only have 1/2 sqaure meter floor space and its 6 foot high i get 8-10 clones in there i harvest about 1-1/2oz pre clone x8-10 my little closet does well.so good luck dude and keep us posted :thumbsup: :stoned:
