Did anybody here ever freeze weed for future use, draughts, etc.? I got some once from a dealer that had done this, years ago, and it was fine.

ive never heard about putting in the freezer for future use but for others reasons. one of them was to kill the smell (it was superskunk). the other reason that im not too sure about is that a dealer may do it because it makes the buds super fluffy and big seeming.

I'd just put it in little ziplocks with like a gram or so per bag, and put those in a Mason jar - in the freezer. This way, you can dole it out frozen. It would take a while to unfreeze, and the rest would stay fresher, hence, more value and better high for your money. Just a thought. Next time I get a half oz. or more I'm going to try this. It's also easier to keep a variety of strains by freezing. If you've got some frozen stuff, and another good type is availabe, you can freeze some of that, also. The more good strains, the better.

Works a treat and doesnt affect the potency. One of my mates used to keep his in the fridge, he said he liked his buds cold.....wtf!?!

Do not freeze your bud! Nothing works better at turning your bud to dust than storing in a freezer! Freezing causes cells to burst when defrosted and causes any biological material to deteriorate faster than if never frozen in the first place. Instead, store in a Mason (fruit) jar and leave in a cool dark place (assuming the bud was properly cured). I keep the jars in the fridge and it keeps it fresh for over a year.
Note; storing in any kind of plastic is also not recommended. Plastic leaks air, even with the tightest closing lid. Glass is best for longterm storage.

i woulda thought madeline is right i mean have u ever seen frozen cabbage defrosted? its like green sludge, i saw it on tv and like madeline said it was because if the temp change all the cell walls burst, like if u put ice cubes into hot water they crack and sumtimes explode because of the temp change,
but hey i may and probably am wrong lol
