Anyone here "psychic"? Any psychic experiences? or experiences with psychics?
My mom was told she should be trained by a psychic when she was about 8(she lived in peru), my great gandmother was a witch/psychic that lived up in the mountains of peru. My mom seems to be able to predict the future in her dreams, I feel like I can do this too, probably coinsidence though. It makes me wonder if everything is pre-set in existence. Also how much "mental disorders" and "psychic abilities" go together. Anyways, opinions are appreciated.

I got that. For me my dream will be like me acting out a whole day of my life, minus a few details. Hang out with friends, buy cigarettes, eat, go home. I know it sounds like an average day, but maybe something I said like a joke or something will happen, or something someone else has said. It hasn't happened for a while but it use to happen every night. I would dream shit and the next day, or next week it would happen. Even stuff like my cousins dog getting hit by a dog. It just gets creepy sometimes and makes me wonder.

Have you ever heard of the Holographic Universe (http://homepages.ihug.co.nz/~sai/hologram.html)? It kind of suggests that, in a way...the idea is that all information in the universe exists in 2D form, which transcends both space and time. The universe that we percieve is a constant unfolding of the "folded" 2D universe, a hologram of sorts. If this is the case, then seeing into the future would simply be a matter of tapping into information that already exists.

I'm psycic on and off, I'm not sure how to control it yet, but I'm pretty sure it has somthing to do with high self-worth. Most spiritual stories are personal so you don't here many. A psycic I know personally(Willow Earth (http://www.willowearth.com)) said that a shaman told her she was being attacked by a negative. The shaman then proceded to stomp the ground, when he lifted his foot the imprit of the dark worker's face was imbeded in the ground.

i am subconsciously psyching, but not PSYCHIC.... im no mind reader, but i can sense your aura based on the way you act, carry yourself, and, especially, your facial expressions. and i have had a lot of deja vu, as well as knowing when something is going to happen with no way of knowing how i knew.

but i have no control over it. it comes and goes as it pleases.

im much like this... mainly the part of knowing things are going to happen... sometime ago i used to know how many new email messages i got before opening the email. i used to be right almost every time. but after a time i could not do it anymore...

and i can 'feel' the 'aura' of people... i can tell some things about the personality of a people just looking to a picture of him/her. it is a very useful thing...

I've had many precognitive dreams, along with some empathic experiences.

I do believe in the power of the mind - I also believe that most people who charge you 20 bucks to tell you your future are probably full of shit.

I don't believe anyone is just "born" with certain gifts. I think some of us are better at certain things, but anyone of average or above average intelligence, and a whole lot of will power, can train their minds to do what they want them to do.

I can SEE aura's. They are ussually white and differ in size. People with bigger aura's tend to be more interesting.

does there is any technique to see the auras or is a thing that just happens with some people?

I've just been able to see them as long as I can remember. I thought other people could see them too. It's nothing I pay attention too anymore. I think I am attracted to people with bigger "aura's". Anyways how I mentioned my dreams being able to predict the future and shit. I had this weird dream last night where a close friend died. I couldn't even help save her. It felt real as fuck too. I thought it was real until I told myself, DUDE YOU ARE DREAMING CHILL. Anyways, right when she died a chill went down my spine and my body went numb. I when I woke up I still felt numb and anytime I think about it a chill is sent down my spine. Wether or not this will happen I am unsure. I predict something to a smaller degree will happen but idk. Probably within the next 2 weeks.

"psychic" no. "psychotic" maybe...

I see all kinds of sh!t, man. I hear things, and know all kinds of things about people; I'm a bit of an empath, telepath, and I've been this way for years.

I can't hardly stand it, tho. It'll drive you crazy if you can't control it. Can any one say "Thorozine shuffle"

:D :hippy:

This may be a little off topic, but If you believe in psycics then by default you believe in god.

Not off topic, but how do you come to this conclusion? I don't believe in psychics but I am not doubting some type of psychic consciousness.

Because they are the ones with the proof, the ones that create a link to god.

Well maybe I really have talked to god. Or maybe they too are psychotic. It contridicts my beliefs at the moment. I still don't see it as proof though. You have to asses YOUR experiences and from their you can decide what is real. What is real to you may be different from what I believe to be real. One day our ideas of what are real might be the same, but now they are different.

I've had some really weird synchronicities in my life. Things that just don't happen 'by chance'.

I've been able to get out of my body once, too. But it's kinda scary.

I definitely am psycic. The night before the VA Tech shooting I dreamt I was in a room with people up against the wall and I was shooting them. I didn't even remember my dream until a day later, but when I did I freaked out. I don't remember my dreams too much, but when I do, they almost always happen within the next few days, sans the surreal elements of the dreams. That shooting dream was the most vivid and realistic one I've ever had, and was completely accurate, right down to lining them up against the wall.

I also get Deja Vu a lot, at least once a day, and it's always BIGTIME.

I can read people like a children's book too. In my last relationship my girlfriend cheated on me and went out and partied with different guys just about every night, and told me she "was going to bed". Everytime I knew exactly what she was really doing and who she was with even if I never met this person. Her roomate eventually told me everything that she did and low and behold I was right.

I wanna find some way to start harnessing my abilities and put them to use someday.

It is offtopic, and it isn't true.

I am open minded towards psychic stuff and you already know I don't believe in any god.

(note: I didn't say I *believe* in psychic abilities, only that I am open minded towards it)

Let me elaborate:

With trillions of synapses (more than the number of stars in the universe, it is said) and billions of neurons in our brains, I find it acceptable to say that there could be so much things we don't know about it yet.

I also have the dreams about the future, but for me they always seem to happen about 7 years later. I have no theory or explanation for it, as far as I know they could even be false memories, dreams I thought I had, but didn't, and when the event arrives, I think I dreamed about it years ago, when in fact I might have not.

Coelho mentioned being right a lot about the amount of emails he gets before opening them. I have something similar, but again there's a rational explanation. If you ask me the time during the day, I can usually get it right to 1-5 minutes, even if I didn't look at the clock for 4 hours, and I answer without thinking about it. There is no need to resort to the psychic to justify that either, I could just have a particularly accurate internal clock and a brain that likes to keep track of time internally.

I read an article some time ago that talked about these gut feelings when we're in an alley and decide to make a left turn instead of a right turn because we "know" there's something wrong (like a bunch of thugs) in the right. The explanation was that the subcounscious is always working and when it notices something unusual like a sound we didn't perceive counsciously etc, the gut feeling ("I just know I have to") is produced.

If psychic phenomena is real or not today nobody can be sure, but in the other hand, the brain is something really powerful, and our evolution isn't finished.

Theres a difference between being able to intelligently articulate thoughts into sentences and the ability to dicern what is true - wisdom. I see alot of annalyzing in that paragraph which counts for left-brain intelligence. It seems like your having minor spiritual experences but are reluctant to explore them further due to the subborn belief that it isnt part of reality.
