A teratoma is actually a type of tumor with tissue or organ components resembling normal derivatives of all three germ layers. Teratomas have been reported to contain hair, teeth, bone and sometimes even more complex organs such as eyeball, torso, and hands. Usually a teratoma will contain no organs but rather one or more tissues normally found in organs such as the brain, liver, and lung.

Teratomas can be either malignant or benign. They normally are well encapsulated and non-invasive of surrounding tissues, hence they are relatively easy to extract from surrounding tissues. For malignant teratomas, surgery typically is followed by chemotherapy.

haha. Right on the money.

All went well very well. I have an excellent young urologist operate on me using robotic equipment like playing a video game, it's fansinating how they do an incision now. First 3 days, oooooo the pain. But I'm all right now, relatively little pain, thank god for good old mary, better than any painkiller ever! Sadly I can't lift any weights for 6 weeks, which will kill me, but hey as they say, no pain, no gain.

Thank you for all your prayers and comments, I love you guys. I'm sure that's the reason I'm recovering so fast, all the doctors were surprised. :)
