Hey, guys; I was wondering what you think is the worst injustice ever committed by Big Brother against cannabis. The nine-month imprisonment of Tommy Chong for legally selling bongs comes to mind. Making it illegal in the first place does, too.

I'd have to say the time when somebody jacked my weed. 1/8th of pure, outdoor grown Trainwreck. All gone. How pitiful...
But yeah Tommy Chong got the shaft big-time.

Dude, I feel for you. Seriously, that's devastating. It's unlikely that was committed by authority, but come on! There should be a cannabis code that people should take to smoke it. Omg, I'm going to start a thread on that right now!

I forgot all about that! That's it: that's the definitive one. The mere fact that one is legally a drug kingpin if they sell more than 60,000 seeds is one of the biggest examples of bullshit in world history. That and Britain's Poor Law. And the American Patriot Act. O god, I could go on and on.

do you know about the patriot act?
they named it that so most of the people who would potentially sign and pass the bill would see it named as "patriot act" would think it was a decent bill to pass, and thats why it passed.
no one even read the testimonial and details of it, they just saw the title and signed it thinking it would do some good.
why didnt they just name it "legal homeland espionage act"? maybe then someone woulda read it and it would have been rejected.
forgive my language, but that act is bullshit. ugh.

That's the problem with the society we live in today. Deceit, deceit, deceit. I'd like to see someone be completely honest about something for a change.

its too bad utopia will never be.
but then again, we would have nothing to look forward to if that happened right?
its sad that bad things have to be in order for us to better ourselves as a society.

Yeah, I hear that, but still, it would be nice to come out of the web of deceit that cloaks existence.

i thought the same thing about the patriot act when it was first thought up...disguised as an anti terrorism thing..patriot actually standing for Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism..i just found out..i was younger but i just thought 'invasion of privacy through deeming the suspects terrorists even if it has nothing to do with terrorism'
marc emory is a new one on me, i found that pretty messed up

I don't have the book at hand but I read a story of some guy who was the middleman who hooked up two other people for a large cannabis transation. Well the guy got convicted in state court and then when he was released years later some anti-pot fuckhead thought he hadn't had enough punishment so he tried him in the supreme court and he got convicted TWICE for the SAME crime.

It's Marc EMERY.
He's being sent to somewhere he doesn't belong, being punished for doing something that was right, and having his life taken away from him for saving other's lives. The BC3 may certainly suffer the "worst weed injustice".
This is North America though.
Dealers caught selling in countries with harsher drug policies can recieve death by hanging. I forget the story entirely, but 3 17/18 years olds from Japan were caught selling marijuana and they're all getting the death penalty. They weren't even CLOSE to drug kingpins.

Yes Japan is harsh i think thats a huge injustice because many many many of them amazingly fascinating japanese people wil never expeience it because its regarded as poison althought Japan has used it and grown it for thousands of years and All All ALL because of the USA's treaty with them for defeating them in WWII.
The ones that try this amazing plant are prosecuted worse than USA and i barely but do believe that 3 17/18 yr old are going to die for it when they could have grown up and invented the amazingly FunStation...
what could have been.

GUYS you think you have it bad in america... countries like Emirates or saudi arabia , weed = DEATH PENALTY. Now if theres something you want to perform activism on .. GET THE WORD OUT ABOUT THIS!!!! We can make a profound difference to a criminal and injustice justice system even if it is over seas.

First off bongs are illegal in the U.s. Water pipes are legal. And secondly Chong wasn't the one selling them it was his son. Chong chose the sentance over his son going to jail. so it was choice if his son whould have gone to jail that whould have been an injustice
But the worst weed injustice a guy I used to work with who on their second offence. they got caught with a roach in the cigg. pack. They did 9 months in jail. and 2 years probation. That was a major weed injustice.

Well this would be a very bad weed injustice if he wasn't free now..it's still bad since he had to spend 17 yrs in ass pounding prison
Got in trouble for armed robbery and sentenced to life in prison after tested positive for marijuana while on parole.

This is gonna date me a bit but...Spraying Paraquat on lots of mexican weed a couple of decades ago, making many American smokers sick, and the continuating illegality of weed in general,Just a thought...If weed were legal here do ya'll think we would have the Cocaine Problem we do now? I Don't Think so!! Why? Because the Colombians found it was easier to smuggle Coke than Weed back in the late 70's. It takes about five years for a coca plant to reach muturity, the last REAL Colombian I saw was in 78-79,the First BIG piles of Coke I saw was about 84-85...Do the math!! I'd wager $100 Bucks that if they legalised tommarow that the Cartels would rip out those Coca plants the day aftre tommarow!!!! Just Food For Thought!!!

I was going to say Marc Emery as well, but I see it's been covered.
BUT, a life sentence for selling seeds?! You see killers and perverts raping children out earlier than that, and all he did was sell some seeds. It blows my mind.

The worst weed injustice is that people refuse to do valid research/experiments with it based on the medieval demonization of mind altering substances. That is the root of all evil so to speak, if that had never happened then weed wouldn't have caught a bad rep in the first place.
yeah, and how the government has organised experiments and tests but the results are the exact opposite of what they want to see and tell the people so they completely disregard them or refuse having anything to do with financing them.
