Watching the NCAA selection right now. Looks like the gators will be playing Jackson State, which is great for me because I'm from Jackson and I just moved from Florida. Can't wait to see this game. What's everybody else looking forward to?

Well since Illinois bowed out in the first round, it's up to SIU to take it home. They looked GOOD tonight against Holy Cross, and that suffocating D can only get stronger...

So how is everyone doing on the brackets? I'll admit it, Duke getting eliminated was kinda off putting but UNLV brought me back. Also now that all of the bets have been placed and there isn't much more we can do but watch......who's in the final four? Come on we all know Florida should be there.Any thoughts?

I've got a hunch SIU might be going further than I had expected, which was the elite 8. They just look so good right now, it's tough to look past them.

My final four is bland and obvious, and like most years, it will soon be destroyed...

BC was my team for obvious reasons...ehh...too bad, Dudley's last year too...so they better get to scoping some talent or they're going to be chilling on the sideline for a while. I shoulda went to BC.

Silently, I was hoping for a little Texas action, which also ended abruptly. Very young team, 4 starting freshman...can't expect much, but since my C's are looking at Durant for a potential pick next year, I couldn't help but root for the kid. I still really want him on our team!

So, now I might have to look at Ohio State, because we are also in contention for Mr. Oden. He is a beast like Plant said. What intrigues me about him is his mature level of play, and ferocious defense that I'm pretty sure will transpire right over into the big leagues, something the C's are in desperate need of.

It's like whatever for me...I'd like to see Oden play as many more college games as he can, but I also can't help but show my love for Kansas, and one of my all-time favorites, UNC. I just want to see some great ball right now...I'll make some bolder picks come Final Four time.

They need to feed Oden the ball more. It's insulting a big guy that dominant isn't the designated go-to scorer among a bunch of shoot-happy wings. Cmon, he can plow your ass to the rim! 2+1 for blocking. That's what Oden should be doing consistantly. He's still got alot to learn, but you can't teach size!

Oden in NCAA comp. isn't as dominant as other big men of his past, Patrick Ewing comes to mind, but no doubt that guy is going to make waves once he goes to the NBA.

LOL..well yeah..no one even THOUGHT to compare Ewing to Oden. The guy is the first sorta "big deal" freshman to come around in a few years though, so people are making a fuss over him. I'm sure he'll leave school early for a big contract though. They always do..

He isn't just "a big deal." Were talking about a big man, with rare combination of size and speed. On potential alone, he could become a Hall Of Fame center. They only come once every decade (Shaq was the last). Last night, he absolutely dominated. If he improves his post-up moves, his off-the-ball defense, and uses his ass more to block out, no one will be able to stop him.

I can't wait for the Georgetown vs UNC game tonight. That's going to be a monster game. Go Georgetown!

I wish Oden vs Hibbert match-up was more meaningful in the G-town game. They barely were on the floor together, but when they were, it was a good battle. Hopefully they both stay in school next year, because I want a rematch between these two!

Now with Noah, Oden would shove him away. Not a real center matchup worth watching. I'm more interested in the Green vs Conley match-up at this point.
