View Full Version : Demeter's Garden of Delight

Hi everybody! Welcome to my secret garden. I have cannabis, flowers, and veggies, so I thought I would start my own log to post pics.
I started these three blue haze girls around Thanksgiving, and here are pics of them at 1 week, 4 weeks, and now- they have been in flower since Feb 2, and according to the seed folks, they should stay in flower another three weeks. I used foxfarm soil (light warrior) and nutes (grow big and tiger bloom), as well as cal-mag, black gold, and I recently have added molasses.

Here are some other plants- two pure power plants that I put into 12/12 Feb 28th
And here's some sage and cilantro and my orchids

oops here's the orchid, my roma tomato grown entirely indoors, and more pictures of my gorgeous, almost ready to harvest, blue haze darlings!

shore do.
I also want to know how the hell you get cilantro to survive indoors!!!!
It's my favorite herb and the ONLY one I can't for the life of me get to survive indoor conditions.

It just occurred to me that your thread title should by all rights be 'Demeter's Garden of Earthly Delights', lol... I'm sure you'll pick up the reference... if it doesn't immediately hit you, go into the hobby lounge-user art gallery-original paintings- hahahaha

Ah yes, the Bosch painting! You really are a Renaissance woman, aren't you! There is nothing ms stinky doesn't know about- why is it that all the women I know are so darn smart? Maybe because WOMEN ARE GREAT?
I am planning a museum run next week with a woman I work with- when I used to teach a Humanities Art class, I would go all the time, but it has been too long!
I have spent most of today coughing from my latest bad cold, so have not been able to smoke, and so must vap- for some reason I don't feel like I really get high from the vaporizor, but maybe it is just that I connect the feeling of inhaling something with the buzz. If I don't hack up a lung today, I may try to smoke later:D
So when is the pontiff arriving? I wonder how long it will take you guys to jump each other. I am betting 10 minutes, tops.
:lovestruck:
p.s. of course, men are very nice too, it's just that many of the ones I know haven't quite got the intellectual depth and breadth the ladies do!
Demeter

okay, one more pic for now- here's my outdoor garden last summer. My sister-in-law came to visit and her girls were helping me pick tomatoes!

Thank gf! Here's some new pics- I moved the beauty of the blue haze triplets (she's been called both Big Girl and Artemis, she's a big-budded lady- her sisters are more spindly but have good personalities!) out of the flower room so I could take her picture. I hope to harvest on April 6th- it may be a little rushed for 420, but I plan to sample her then! I can't wait!I wish I could take pictures up close of her trichs- they look great under a loupe! Now, do folks think I should make her the mother, or one of her clones? I took off most of the very lower vegetation earlier, so re-vegging her might not work so well? Any advice welcome!
Also here's a pic of my first peppers indoors; I think this is a jamaican hot chocolate, but I can't be sure. When I transplanted, I had no markers available, so we shall have to wait until the others fruit to see what's what.
BTW, everything I know about growing cannabis I learned from the fine growers here:thumbsup:

Here's a fun little mutant- a two-headed bud!
Also a pretty pepper, more pics of my hazy girls- I think they will be ready to harvest in a few weeks, I hope! It is hard to keep my mitts off-
I do not have names for my pure power plant girls- any suggestions?

Nice plants girly. If I were you I would flower that lady in front of the dryer, and bonsai mom one of her clones, you'll get some nice bud from there.

Thanks! Yea, she's been in flower since feb 2, so she may get chopped soon. I have some clones of her in veg- I had planned to let them get bigger then flower them too, but what is this about bonsai? Doesn't keeping the plant small reduce the yield, or do you mean to use the clone as a mom for other clones? I am still learning, thanks for your help!

It's so you can keep your one mother small so you always have a healthy plant to take clones from with out having a huge monster take over your mother room.

Well Demeter, you've really done an amazing job!
Your plants look even better in person and that early nug smoked oh so sweet for having been dried in the microwave!
Look everyone, you CAN go to harvest without yellowing! WOW!
I was in there poking around over the weekend and just really impressed with the total lack of disease, deficiency, or infestation of any sort. Those plants are HAPPY!!!

Thanks stinky! I think that using superthrive early on made the haze girls strong! Also I talk to them:hippy:
It was so fun having you visit my secret garden. I did a lot of repotting yesterday along with chopping the big girl. I hope the tabasco seedling made it home okay- that was quite a little squall that blew in! The flower show was amazing, though, and I wanted to ask you more about that seaweed fertilizer you got - I use guano, so wonder if it does the same thing?

Right. Harvest my hard work early. Great plan for him, not so good for me. I make him buy me booze to trade for the herb. *snicker*
Go to your user cp (I originally typed 'dp'. mind in gutter syndrome), go to the part where it says "Edit Signature" or somesuch. Do your magic. Go to the first post in this thread, and copy the "Permalink". Paste that into your sig. You can make it say anything you want. You know how mine says "My Grow Log"? If you want to make it say something similar, type your preference, highlight it, then click the hyperlink symbol and paste in the URL. Did that make sense? If not, Yahoo me and I"ll walk you through it.
Demeter

yeah the drive home was terrible- worst road conditions i've ever seen in my life once i hit the blackstone corridor- 35 mph the whole way home, yow.
the seaweed has a totally different function, that nosophyllum or whatever sp[ of sea kelp that is acts as a bloom booster- it has some K in it but not much- it's the same seaweed in topmax and I want to say also in Gravity but I'm not sure of the latter. Use it WITH the guano. At any rate, it's in your truck, along with my planner and vehicle registration, lol!!! Go ahead and keep the seaweed, our local farmers supply actually sells it cheaper than the booth at the show, enjoy!

To simulate a right mouse button click while using a one-button mouse on a Mac, like to get a context sensitive menu for an object on the screen, hold down ctrl and click the mouse button while your mouse pointer is over the object.

To stimulate a mouse, find its 'button' and click while using a one-stroke motion, but don't call it Mac, it's a sensitive subject, hold it down. ]
Uh... is that what you REALLY meant?

Here are new pics- I cut down the other two blue haze ladies today, and here they are looking all sexy on blue satin sheets! First pic in their leafy glory, then after a trim. I could not find a ruler, so I resorted to the stoner alternative- a mexican sandal, women's size 7 1/2. What do you all think about these two girls, lovely lassies, yes?
The dried bud is from Artemis, chopped last weekend. I am not sure how much is there, and I don't know if I have the patience to weigh it all:stoned: but it is on its way to curing.
There is also a close-up of the famous two-headed bud, which I hope to smoke on 4/20!
Wow, growing is great;I finally feel self-sufficient! I wanted never to have to depend on a damn dealer again- the waiting, the risk, the cost!
Though I have only smoked the very early bud that we harvested for now and quick dried in the microwave, blue haze is a wonderful potent and up high- I love it! I am excited about trying the fat, cured buds in a few weeks!

Hi hon, thanks for visiting my garden! I have been told that S.A.G.E. is awesome, and have at least one in veg now (I kind of got my seedlings all mixed up when I transplanted, 'doh!) but it hasn't show sex. I would suggest any haze cross- but there are others here who know much more than I about strains to recommend- Ms. Stinky, Scarlet?

Here is a roma tomato plant in the flower room- as you can see, two tomotoes are almost ripe- yumm! The little pepper plant, so sweet, is the Marbles variety, an ornamental. I like to include veggies and herbs in with my flowers in the yard, so the marbles will go in the front yard when it warms up at the end of the month, but she's fruiting already!
As you can see the dining room is getting pretty filled up with plants wanting to go outside. In a few weeks it will be a jungle! It is so grey out today, they are looking sad:(

One of the two unidentified pure power plant has revealed himself- and has been banished to the laundry room, and later, will be chopped for the compost pile. It always makes me sad to get rid of a perfectly beautiful plant- even pricking off vegetable seedlings makes me feel bad!
The dining room table is now filled to capacity with baby peppers, eggplant, cilantro, sage, basil, chamomile, swiss chard, arugula, etc- I sure wish spring would hurry so I could plant out! Stupid NE snow in freaking April, grrr! We will be dining on the first tomatoes tonight!

Hi to all my buddies in growland! (she pauses to take a puff on Green Swirly, see picture)
I have been busy harvesting and planting anddddd sometimes smoking:stoned:
It is very strange to actually always have enough to smoke- I feel like Scarlet O'Hara - I'll never be hungry again! I have jars curing and buds drying and I can even have a dinner party and share my harvest with all my guests! No more smoking stems and resin - yuck! No more having to associate with nasty dealers, no more scrimping and saving to score. Now the trick is not to smoke all the time, because then tolerance develops and I don't get that breezy high I like.
I'm attaching a pic of a fresh bud from the last Pure Power Plant of the three I grew- the bud looks a little crispy, because I added another light and the heat got to the tops of the plant... two 660 w in a small space really heated up the flower room, so I may need additional fans. For now I have raised the light so hopefully the seven sisters in flower will be okay.
I planted out almost all of my veggies this week - eggplant, broccoli, peppers, tomatoes, squash, pumpkins, cucumber, etc. and I hope they are okay with this suddenly cool weather! I will post pics of them next week if they survive:hippy:

Lol I've smoked out of Green Swirly... say hi to the lil munchkin for me, willya? Oh yeah, and to Mr. Demeter... :D
I'm glad to hear your outdoor garden is in. That's more than I can say; with all the drama lately it's all I can do to keep the indoor girls happy.
But things are looking VERY positive and I am still trying to squeeze in a trip to the Bean or the beach.
And I have a couple cuttings for you... :D I KNOW you want some of the Yeag's Matanuska Thunderfuck (and a cheezburger)... it's almost rooted up and ready to go.
How do you feel about the yield on that PPP? I was really impressed by what you got off the Haze.
Talk to ya soon, give me a call if you aren't busy Sunday. I'm down for a drive for SURE!!!! If it's nice out, I'd be up for a trip to Block Island or something- you guys have bicycles, right?

Hi girly! I was just talking to you on yer, er, Foxy's thread. Anyhow, let me talk to Mr. D about Sunday, but for me it's good- school has only just started, so I can fool around a bit this weekend. I'd love to swap a blue haze clone for a MTF. I think I may also have a PPP clone to share. I need to go visit my veg room and poke around. I have a number of clones in my bio dome but they aren't doing so well- it's getting a little moldy in there, so I think I should clean it. The big clones are just hanging out with the baby peppers.
The blue haze triplets were topped twice and lst'd, and the yield, though I didn't weigh it, was large! The Pure Power Plant was topped once and lst'd, and while it didn't seem to yield as much, the buds are MUCH denser. You tried the blue haze when it was new, but you'll like it even better now after curing for weeks - is is more potent and smells and tastes wonderful! For solidity of bud and stone, the Pure Power Plant rules!
One of the seven sisters is definately a SAGE and another is a TrainwreckBlueberry x, while the rest could be other sage, twbb, or even a blueberryx, I guess I will have to see. I have been a less attentive mama to these girls, since work got a bit busy, but so far they are looking good, albeit a bit tall (I topped once, I think...) and the lsting wasn't as rigorous this time. It will be interesting to compare the results.
I will get back to you soon about this weekend. Unfortunately, we do not have bikes. I used to have one but years ago my husband left it outside when we lived in Dorchester and it was stolen of course I forgave him;)
but haven't replaced my bike. But we can do something outdoors if it is nice. If it isn't SNOWING

Ahhh good ol' Dot. Worldly posessions seem to acquire a life of their own there, and wander off, never to be seen again.
No worries though, I'm just happy to be outdoors... should I bring the canoes?
lol @ snowing... it dropped down below freezing in the upper valley over the weekend... we COULD have had snow! WTF is up with the weather.
I have been putting my prop equipment through the dish washer lately- I cut the trays in half so they fit. You HAVE to bleach between uses. I also mix a few drops of copper fungicide into my wilt-pruf.. hint hint. Works AWESOME.
Oh btw how are you doing for wilt pruf? I bought the industrial sized bottle, lol. Want some? :D
Cool, head stash trade, now THAT'S what grow buddies are for... this is what I've been dreaming of all along, having duplicate strain grows going on within a few hours' drive of eah other. Word. And I'll trade you some beautifully cured black indica for a bit of blue haze! I think your friend would actually be able to smoke it. It is on the relaxing end of the pot spectrum.

You are a dear- I'd love some wilt pruf...hell, perhaps I could pour some on my brain? I have been very lax about my mold prevention, so I will do as you suggest. There are buggies in there too, tiny ones that I have been just manually squishing - ugh.

I have a sick plant in the flower room. Her newer leaves were all stunted and curly, it is more than just heat stress. I flushed her yesterday, and once the flower room light goes on, I will look in on her. If she isn't get better I will post a pic for diagnosis.

Hi foxy- I flushed everybody thoroughly and even so, one died, but the other sick one seems to be surviving. I am leaving the door open and the other five seem to be okay. I am going to get perlite today and repot the sickly one, and put her near the door opening, and hopefully she will pull through. I gave them all a pep talk yesterday and shook the CO2 bottles- it was a ritual thing:hippy: Thanks so much for the house call and medicine! Mr. MTF is looking happy- I am keeping him lst'd, so he is one long fellow!
First the rain and now the heat! Everything is in the ground now except a few ornamental peppers. The tomatillos are flowering, yum, salsa verde!
I just came in from a long walk - I just got a pair of MBT shoes, and they really do change the way you walk! I try to walk at least 4x per week for an hour and a half, so I am looking forward to seeing how they work.

Hempfest- I hope it is still happening this year. The folks at the Boston Common were yapping about not letting it be there this year, but hopefully if it is moved, it will be somewhere pretty. I've been a few times, but I was always dry :( so it was not as much fun, as it is not the place to try to hook up or even smoke. Toooooo many police. It is better to go planning to hang out with friends, check out the vendor stuff, and support the movement. If a bunch of us meet up beforehand, we can have our own celebration!

Here are pics of some of my outdoor flowers! Catmint that the neighbors cats love to munch on- it borders the front walkway, and the cats roll around afterward all blissed-out! The climbing yellow rose has gotten out of control; we need to get the ladder out and trim the wild thing. I love the blue gray foliage and bright pink flowers on this dianthus. The siberian iris are at the front fence, and there are six bunches of them just starting to open up. The clematis in the pot is climbing a lemon lace vine. Everyday something new blooms. The bearded iris should be open in a day or so, and I will post their pics. I love Spring!

Here are the last three girls in flower- one has the top chopped off - which is what is in the drying box! The other two include a sick girl nursed back to health- I am thinking she's a blueberry, because of her color. The third girl is pretty wacked out- light stressed and crazyleafed; I think she'll be brownie material. Then there are the 25+ little clones- cute, huh?
This last little plant is in bondage- I think she is a clone of trainwreck- the famously stinky (decaying salami is the top note!) stuff that helps me get to sleep every night.
I'll be vegging for the next 2 1/2 months, then plan to flower two Blue Haze, two Matanuska Thunderfuck (thanks stinky!) two Pure Power Plant (the LOVELIEST for nugs) and then two wild cards from my growing friend.

Hi all (stinky are you out there... you have "joint custody" hee hee) you fabulous growers! PLEASE help me decide what to do with all these girls- in the past I have topped once for clones, then later fimmed and lst'd, but with this batch, I am open to suggestions. If I top today, there will be a bunch of new baby clones to deal with, but if I just lst today I can take clones in another few weeks, and would yield twice as many babies, right? Then again, my flower space is limited: I can only flower 8 plants max, and they can't be too wide, so maybe I shouldn't lst everyone.
I have to repot all 27 of these girls today - they are already growing out of their first post clonebox quart pots! This is going to take me forever with my injured finger  oh well, no reward without work:jointsmile:
So I am off to get my hands dirty- will check in later to see what suggestions sound best. Thanks!!!!

Ive been interested in learning the science of the FIM method. The ability to accurately quadruple tops,(up to 8 from what I hear) really turns me on!
The thing that gets me is there seems to be no consistency in multiples, so to be sure you're making the right move, maybe a test or two?

Wow Demeter I guess we are a good team. Did you notice any difference in survival rate % between the ones we put in rapidrooters vs. the other plugs? I like those other ones too.
I am a big fan of bending to expose low nodes to light. You end up with PLENTY of new side shoots which eventually become multiple tops.
Plus there's little to no stress on the plant.
FIM I've used in the past but far prefer to only remove a growing tip if it is to be used as a cutting. Otherwise you get set back time-wise.
If you end up with too many clones (stinky rotten salami hint hint!) they are always welcome to come to their family reunion :D Their moms miss them.
BTW that dying Blue Haze has completely pulled out of her rootbound funk.
My suggestions for your next round of flowering:
-Lighter soil, 40-50% perlite with that compost I dropped off
-square 3-gallon pots with EXTRA drain holes drilled in them. I ahve a bunch of extras from my previous operation. Just have to get them out of my friend's storage unit.
-Increase ventilation
You may end up with TOO MUCH BUD!!! lol your green thumb is, well, pretty damn green. You just needed better potting conditions.

Here is the current crop of girlies- the flowering girls are a mix of trainwreckx, sagebbx, blue haze, PPP, and matanuska thunderfuck...they went in 12/12 on 8/15, so hopefully they will be harvested by mid Oct. I plan to put three of the other group into flower in about 2 weeks, to stagger things, as these other vegging girls are getting pretty burly! I am running out of room, and could take a zillion clones if I only had a place for them. Yes, I have run amok. I have learned too late that just because you CAN take a clone doesn't mean you SHOULD! :hippy: Yikes!

Here are the little clones, a mix of mystery strains, with some PPP and Sagebbx mixed in....also here is the infamous pregnant O G Kush, and as you can see I am trying to get some clone material from her. I still have a half dozen clones in the dome that may still make it, so I think I need to find a fairy godmother for some of these babies, since my flower room is pretty small.
I also plan to just grow for the next six months, and then lay low for awhile. I really just want to stockpile enough bud so that my hubby and I and our good friends can enjoy the fruits of my labor and not have to worry about supply. I think I know someone who can safeguard my genetics until it is time to grow again, so that makes it easier. I know my girls will be a good home!

Demeter darlin'-
You got any more TW cuts? I lost mine (The Tess was feeling a little vegetarian...)
Spider mites, drop temps, pyrethrin bomb twice, a couple days apart, hang no pest strips to prevent reinfestation.
Watch out spraying neem to runoff, it's easy to suffocate the plant. Light mist, dry, light mist again is far safer.

I couldn't stand to wait (big surprize!!) so I just peeked in on the girl and she seems okay. Will it be okay to smoke with neem on the buds? Will it taste weird? I might have to lick a leaf and see:D
Actually that plant and another one have some funny leaves, that look like they are gold-dusted but is probably just mottled green w/gold - since I have your expert ear here- what do you think this is? I have been feeding once per week with Tiger Bloom, Big Bloom, and cal/mag. though I may have forgotten cal/mag one week. What do you think- oh yea, and I also gave them molassas the last two weeks. I need to get that Sweet stuff you mentioned. Also I need some good starter plugs like you used- they had a much better clone survival rate than mine. Can you tell me what they are and where to get them? I want to take a few clones of the blue haze and also that crazy pregnant kush you gave me- she's been held down and I bet I could get 5 clones from her.
Sounds like it is time for another clone party girl! I also have some big veg ladies (PPP and MTF) I wouldn't mind trading for some other varieties if you have any extra little ones?

What you are seeing is scarring from spider mite damage.
I still hold your Haze genetics if you are interested in some cuts. Ready to go girly! And others of course.
You probably don't need the calmag in your city tap water.
Neem isn't poisonous to humans, just smelly. Yuck.
Yeah I need a re-up on PPP stock- I think you gave me a SAGE x mislabelled last time. The leaf structure was all wrong.
Call me whenever! :D

I thought we weren't allowed to even discuss trading beans, let alone clones, on this site? No?

That is true- However Demeter and I have been friends in 'real life' for a while and have a long-standing agreement to protect each others genetics in case one of us has to bail out suddenly. We're Grow Buddies! :D
There's actually a really cute pic of us at the Mass Horticultural Society show in Boston from this past spring- I think it may be in Mass locals somewhere...

I'm sorry- I didn't mean to cross over onto the dark side:(
Stinky is my good pal, and grow guru:thumbsup: No offence meant!
I'll call you tonight. Now I have to go expand a bed in the front yard for some new asters I am putting in. I need to move my Phlox and crazy daisy back so the asters can be in front. I've had trouble with iron chlorosis this year, so by putting the asters in front it will help if that happens again. I am going to supplement well in the spring so hope it won't come back; it's so disfiguring! But it is a great day to be outside (I'll grade papers tomorrow!)

Hey you two... It's all good! I'm just asking what is and isn't ok to be posting here... I've seen several allusions by Stinky, with her mod hat on, to the fact that it is not permissible to post anything about any kind of trading. So I was just trying to figure out if there is some voodoo magic that makes it ok
Stinky -- found that pic in the grow lounge ... cute :)

EDIT: Oh yeah, sorry for bustin' in on your conversation.

lol no probs- I've gotta say that having a grow buddy makes me sleep better at night knowing that no matter what happens, I'll never lose my genetics.
Certainly trolling for seeds and clones isn't cool on the site. Do long-standing members who have formed personal relationships with each other do it? Sure. But it's by email and off-site. I suppose just to avoid any confusion we should probably do that too, lol. Or next time we have lunch! :D

Hi Girlfriend- seems like forever since I posted from the Garden of Delight> Frankly it has become more of a Jungle of Wildness- Since I plan to shut down everything in January, in anticipation of our adoption, I am growing to STOCKPILE, baby!
I've exceeded the maximum sensible number of plants in my flower room by about a dozen! I chopped the tops off a couple fat juicy MTF's last night because they had nanners and were mostly ready- I like a lighter head high anyway. It must be the general overcrowding - I have too many crazy sativa girls standing tall at one end, and the final flowering PPP and MTF are crouched in the front. I still have a half dozen girls, mostly trainwreck, who are ALMOST too big to transport so soon I will have to shove them into flower with the other sardines...! I hope to harvest the bottoms of the MTF I just chopped in about a week, and hopefully the 2 PPP's will be done then too, making room for a few more to flower.
This is what happens when you combine cloning with having to temporarily suspend growing :wtf:
But despite the nanners on the two MTF, and a couple trainwreck that need flushing (jeez, they are in the very back, so I will have to excavate tonight!) the plants are surviving the tight space pretty well. I have bent over a few of the lankier girls - I will take some photos tonight if you upstanding growers promise not to chatise me for my bad behavior. This is not the ideal grow, but the buds look yummy and this little squirrel will be needing plenty of "nuts" to keep her happy over the winter. I may keep one mother to maintain - but it is so hard to choose! I still have some great seeds, so maybe, since I will have plenty of smoke to tide me over, I can afford to wait and see with a few germinating seeds- if they turn out to be male, it won't be tragic. But the growing will have to really get scaled down next year- Demeter will still be growing, but more veggies and flowers to cover. I need to focus on my little persephone:D
Once the nightime lights come on in the flower room, I'll shoot some pics and be right back!:hippy:

Here are a few pictures- first the ladies in veg waiting (after taking this picture I repotted half of them before I ran out of pots and dirt! The other pictures are of the insanely crowded flower room, which I also reorganized because I had to take two PPP out from the back to be flushed, etc. The spiky tall one with the weirdly skinny leaves is a sagexx, very tempermental! I can't remember what the problem is when the leaves get all skinny and curl like this one is?
In a week I will chop three more little PPP's - and replace them with a blue haze, another PPP and a trainwreck or two. I had planned to be done by early Jan but now it is looking like mid to late January before Demeter turns her garden back to veggies. I want to flower some tomatoes and peppers like last winter, and maybe some japanese eggplant.

Looks like it could have done with a bit longer, but thats just my opinion..none the less, good grow:thumbsup:

whatcha mean smokie? Do you mean I should wait on the PPP's - how can you see them in the midst of all that green- good eyesight! or do you mean i should have waited on chopPing the MTF? The top trics were mostly cloudy, though there were some new white hairs- still, I needed the room, and those nanners scared me!
Most of what is in the pics won't be ready for at least 4 more weeks, with the rest following in 6, 8 and 10 weeks if all goes as planned. he Blue haze and that damned sagex take the longest, but at least in the case of the blue, it's worth it. I'm only growing the sagex out because I didn't have the heart to toss her once I learned what a fussy plant it is

Hey Demeter!
Sorry I've been away from the boards for a couple days and missed all this.
Chopping a hermed plant IS good practice, especially if you have NO idea why it hermed.
I'll call you tonight... I'm mobile again... mwahahaha... look out Massholes, Stink's BACK ON WHEELS!!!

So glad you are back on wheels! I've missed my garden guru- you must come visit - I have two mtfs that look like hanging baskets with several trailing arms! Any chance you will be heading east this weekend? We did a final harvest and have about 20 million peppers! I made some yummy salsa verde out of the tomatillos and I know you want some of that! I roasted the toms this time and it really makes a difference. We had it will grilled chicken and it was amazing!

It's always good to see growers growing a cornucopia of plants. I do the same, and I love it. It brings a certain well-rounded quality to the garden which I find is good for one's spiritual well being.

I'm still working through my last pint of tomatillo salsa from Demeter's garden!
My grow at the moment also includes French lavender, rosemary, and 4 varieties of hot pepper. Variety is indeed the SPICE of life, har har har. :D

Hey stinky- I forgot to ask you- what can you tell me, if anything, about the girl marked "Mystery xx"? I just cut her and she smells amazing!
Did you get the doggie? I hope so!:)

mystery 'XX' is what I did with a handsome male I got out of a pack of BOG unknown seeds. I crossed him to a female from the same pack. BOG's stuff is hardy and smells lovely, and the XX follows. I found she did very nicely in hydro as a bud on a stick style plant.
Yup, the shelter called and they put me at the top of the list for the bulldog female, but they would rather I take the male Boxer/Pitbull cross because they can't find an applicant who is familiar with training big dominant dogs, and the bully girl is already a perfect lady.

Demeter's Garden of Delight is changing a bit these days- all of my medicinal plants are now cut, cured and stored away for personal use over the next year or two. I am about to become the parent of a little 7 year old girl from Africa, so it will be just organic veggies and flowers for awhile :)
I have so appreciated everyone's advice (esp. my dear friend stinkyattic!) over the past year that I have been growing - because of all of your help, I am now able to use my medicine in peace, without the constant scramble and uncertainty of contacting dealers- not to mention the $$$- now I can spend my hard-earned money on little girl dresses :D
I have a new orchid blooming now- will take a pic once she is fully open! I will be starting my veggie seeds the week before we leave for Africa in mid-MArch, so that when we return they will be ready to pot up! I have some beautiful new heirloom tomato seeds this year that I am excited about-
