Well...yeah...I know several kids who are "straight edge". I didn't find them to be "preachy" but of course, I'm an adult. I asked one of the kids what straight edge meant and he said it's people who don't drink, smoke, do drugs, or have sex. One time I was talking to two other kids and one of them was a straight edge and his friend asked me If I smoked and I was like "yeah" and then I asked him and he was like "no but I used to" and then I asked the straight edge kid and I didn't know what the shirt meant at the time and he just held up his shirt like he was too cool to answer and I didn't wanna look like and idiot for not knowing and I was just like "oh" but if I had known what it meant I probably would have kicked him in the nuts for being such a douche. you can find hypocrasy wherever you look. They just buy into the notion that a clear mind is the best way to be at all times, whereas most of us believe that getting high makes life easier. Whatever floats your boat is cool with me, and although I think that shit is pretty stupid, and I would never be involved in it (drugs or not)
