I was reading about purgatory (place where souls go to pay for their sins, basically), and I thought.. what if THIS is purgatory? What if this is how we pay for our sins? Maybe we're just here to show our inner selves and prove that we are or are not worthy of heaven.

Sorry. It was bugging me. ;P

Yes, access to a computer with a roof over your head, food in your stomach, and money to buy cannabis...yes, life is hell.

I don't believe in heaven, paying for our sins or any of that nonsense, so I can't really comment.

Yeah. I dont really buy into organized religion, I mean, i guess there has to be some rhyme and reason to the origin of life and shit, but Im much more of an existentialist, I think, therefore I am, am I right folks?

I had that same thought back in high school during religion class. All I really thought was that this world fits the definition of purgatory. I loved aruging with my religion teachers on this and many other things. I didn't even believe half the shit I said, but it made the school day more interessting.

here's my thing:

ok, if you go with the veiw of drugs and ilicit sex and basically all of the fun things in this world as evil, they wouldn't be allowed in heaven. so then would all that exist in hell?

soo, if there is a heaven, would YOU want to be there?

Yup, I went to a Catholic school. They are the main reason I am now agnostic... They made me realise just how important it is to think for myself and believe everything that a teacher says. Some of there religion teachers were pretty extreme...

I went to a non religious elementary school, and that class was taught. I wasn't in the class though as my parents refused to let a 11 year old boy be brainwashed. We all know young kids believe everything they are taught, and religion is one thing that was not allowed to be taught to us. If we wanted to learn, we would do it ourselves, but getting an education has nothing to do with religion, so I just spent that time on a computer playing cheesy ass games.

Remeber those computers where the monitor and keyboard were built into each other? No mouse, and the graphics were these hideous green, block letters with no pictures. :p

that should be "and NOT believe everything a teacher says..." Sorry for the double post on this, but I missed the edit window and I left out a very important word.

I view religion as a method of population control. thats all it really is.
