it is impossible for a plant to be albino; if it is albino, then photosynthesis won't occur. the green chlorophyl is what catches the lumens.
it IS possible for a plant to be partialy albino, or pied/piebald. this is a very rare trait, and it's unlikely that you have a sample of it. it is more likely that the buds are so covered with trichs that it looks white. i've had white buds that were just that damn frosty.
sorry, but the answer is no. it is not albino.

Yep, partial albinism, shown above, is all you're gonna get.
When the strain that we know as White Rhino was first introduced, it was called AlbinoRhino.
Hmm! Food for thoguht!

Ok, a normally green plant cannot grow without chloroplasts (the stuff that makes them green). A total albino plant is doomed to die young- it cannot produce it's own food like a normal plant. As soon as the seed's food is used up, it's a goner!
Partial albinos are seen now and then. Now a partial albino can have a branch or two that may grow out all albino, but it is the green parts of the plant that is supplying all the food for it. Although it is pretty, it likely won't do as well as a regular plant because it can't supply as much food through photosynthesis.
Another possibility is a branch mutation on a normal plant. One branch goes wacky and produces a mutation. (I had a normal plant with one partial albino branch- no difference in potency between the branches.) The mutation could be weird leaves, or albinism, or other trait. So it CAN happen, but it would be rather rare.
A potent, purely albino plant, bred by crazy hippies and nurtured in secret over the years? NO WAY! Just another urban myth!- Granny:hippy: (bio major, first time around in college)

So, my buddy got this from one of the clubs out here in CO and said they call it Alcopulco Gold. Any idea what the hell happened here?

once, I had some top leaves get extremely light-bleached, but nothing like those pics ... with that sharply-defined 'border' between the green & white sections of the leaf, I would strongly suspect tampering of some sort ... :smokin:

The pics show in #5 were much like my branch mutation. Sharp delineation between the albino and normal parts of the leaf. It was pretty, but nothing special.

it's not a true albino if it has green in it.

Here's a pic of a little "faux albino" light-bleaching. :)
This little bud-let was parked directly under the bulb filament, brushing the glass cover of the reflector hood.
Weird, other than the coloration, it looks happy.

I recently acquired a Chemdawg that showed partial albinism at one node. I pinched above it to make it dominant and now have a plant on which most branches show some degree of albinism (crisp-edged checkering, and no, it's not TMV lol). I've been cloning it off and the more green branches root better, harden off better, and show more vigor than their paler counterparts. I only flower the vigorous green branches- the pale ones yield for shit- and keep it more as a novelty than anything else.
No pics atm. I'll get some when I remember.
