Man, I can't even remember who it was, but some people here a few months ago were talking about Tool, and I finally decided to check it out even though I thought it would suck. After downloading 10,000 I just fell in love with it. I swear I throw that on good and loud on the headphones, smoke some weed, and it's like a hallucinogenic trip that brings my mind back to the best mental state, the kind of state where I'm totally at peace with everything in my own little world. So anyway, THANK YOU to anybody and everybody who discussed them here and led me to listen to it.

Now I just downloaded their Lateralus, the second work I've heard from them, and it's blowing me away just as much. It's just all the type of music I want, metal that instills a sense of oneness, freedom, peace, whatever you want to call it. LOL, ok I'm just really really high, this will all probably sound like silly ramblings. But damn, it's all true too.

IMHO, I'd say Tool is the best band of the last 20 years, easily.

Yea tool is really bad ass, i have all of their cds. you should really buy them instead of downloading them

Oh I'll buy all their music as soon as I can, they'll make a welcome addition to my cd collection. Right now though I'm just utterly broke... gotta enjoy something in the meantime.

10,000 Days seemed to give a feel for just how progressive Tool was capable of being. Aenima is still my favorite album though...

Listen to Opiate, why the fuck does everyone overlook that album. its so much more badass and rockish then everythin else.

ME!!! and yeah TOOL9 you're right. he should buy thier cds... plus, 10,000 days have a really badass cover design (i study in graphic art so ;))

I have that abulm, its just not the best imo
