do you think vaping inside a dorm room would set off the fire alarms? They are extra sensitive at the university i am, there was a big fire many years back. Ive heard even to much hair spray can set them off and burnt popcorn does it easy.

Also, when you vape, does it smell a lot?

Vapes don't smell or give off much smoke, I don't think. I've only used 'em once or twice. I s'pose it's worth a try.

i highly doubt vaping will set off a fire alarm because.... there's no smoke.

vapor disappears after like 2 seconds after u exhale it anyway. and vaping leaves close to no smell. even if it does leave a smell, it'll be faint enuff to cover up with a spray of febreeze or something.

My friend got caught by the cops in his dorm room using a vape, they said they smelled it, dont think it would set off alarms though.

Fire alarm:
if it is a heat detector yes a vape will not set it off (popcorn or a hair dryer in a small room will after a while) If it is a smoke detector the particles may if there is enough floating around (hairspray) but it takes a lot of particles to block the light beam inside it.

Odor:
yep sorry

I'd go for it, if you are in a dorm room I would still recommend setting up your fan system have a window fan blowing out, sucking the air out, seal all the way around the fan so it pulls air out of the room. Another good idea is to use a spoof, just pack an empty toilet paper roll or paper towel roll with dryer sheets. Blow through it after you take a hit, have the shit ventilated and you will have no problems.

I vape in my dorm everyday. It dosent set off the fire alarm. As far as smell goes, my Vapir One only leaves a very faint smell in a 5 foot radius which dissapates in a few minutes after you are done vaping. Though you could open a window or spray something to get rid of the smell. Vaping in a dorm is much safer than smoking.

we used to macgyver smoke in the dorms back in the day. we wwould dilute some cologne in a water spray bottle. spray that around the door. then we would get two fans , one in the window, one behind us as we were smoking , and we would put dryer sheets on the back of the fans. then we would toke and blow smoke into the fan going out the window.

b ack to the point though, i dont think a vape is going to set them off. word of advice though, keep you shit in the fridge , were i used to go to school, drug dogs would make random unwanted appearances, your fridge is sealed so the dog can't smell it. also if you get wind of a dog raid, get your hands on some pepper and dump all of it under the crack of your door. that'll fuck that pooch right up.

Ive installed and serviced fire alarms, if you post a picture of it I maybe able to tell you better what too do. The most common one only detect the heat in the smoke, not the smoke itself. So unless you have a room full of smokers with no ventilation you should be ok. Second type uses a type of photo sensor where the smoke particles can block a small laser and trigger it off. However these more often then not will set off a false alarm from my personal experience if there not up-kept properly.
