and wowwwwwwwwwwww am i in badddddd ass shape lol. i just ran not even a mile and im wheezing so bad and coughing a lot. i just wana get back in shape a little bc since high school ended i havent played a sport in 2 years. any of you other stoners out there work out?

I get high and workout everyday. If i don't smoke before, I don't have energy and don't really get into the workout.

I lift heavy weights 3 days a week and I play tennis often. I also run a couple miles around the park when I have time.

Twenty miles four times a week on my Mt Bike,rest days in between and 60-80 miles on nice weekends.

I lift 4 days a week and do 40 minutes of cycling 3 times per week which add up to about 30 miles. I hate doing cardio but I have found I like biking much more than running so it's been a lot easier to stay on track. I LOVE lifting though, the Arnold Classic was just in town and Monday they had a photo shoot at the World Gym I work out. These guys' show weights were hovering around 250lbs, which is in fucking sane.
For my core lifts(bench, squat, and deadlift) I do 3 sets of 10 reps at 225lbs on the bench, 315 on the squat, and 345 on the deadlift. I am a strong proponent of supplements, especially Kre-Alkalyn and anti-estrogen creatine.
I love lifting and playing Lacrosse when it's not fucking snowing. I think it is important for people to stay physically active because Obesity and laziness is fucking killing america and especially our generation and the up and coming one. Eating right is 75% of losing weight or just staying fit. If you eat well all week you should be able to have anything you want for 1 or 2 at the most meals a week. Don't binge and eat untill you fucking explode but it is ok to have what you want as long as you don't over indulge.
Stay fit stoners, and get in the gym. Don't get high first though, it kills your mojo.

I repeat DO NOT GET HIGH BEFORE YOU WORK OUT. If you do, yer an idiot and I'm gonna drop a plate on yer head if I see you being stupid at the gym. Plus one of the best things ever after a real hard lift when you can barely pick up your water bottle and your sore as fuck is sitting down and blazing a bong load and having all the pain and soreness disapear.

It's dangerous though. When you are pumping out the last couple reps and your eyes are bright red and you feel like your about to pass out then being high is only going to make you even more light headed. It is DANGEROUS, don't lift high.

Just like driving baked it's not for everyone... One can benefit from Cannabis and weight lifting. As one can lift more as cannabis is a pain reducer.

Yes it can inspire creativity, yes it can be used legitimatley for cancer and very very very sick people who are on meds that make them not hungry. But c'mon, are you fucking serious, it cannot be beneficial IN the weight room. Weed is not beneficial for any other purpose than getting high 99% of the time. It IS a fact though that weed makes you high, and when your high sometimes we all do something that is stupid no matter how much of a veteran toker you are. When your spotting someone putting up a lot of weight or you yourself are putting up a lot of weight than you should not be stoned. There is no place for getting high in or before the weightroom.

Well dude, I'd like you to say that to legit med users with something other than cancer. Weed can help IN the weight room. Let's say someone has depression and doesn't want to work out, they smoke a joint of a powerful sativa and they have the motivation to work out and they feel energized. And no that's not just some dumb scenario I pulled out of my ass.

Iv never smoked weed that made me motivated....uppy and kinda energetic but not motivated.
I have to agree...it has its use but its not a good idea to do allot of things high...people are so biased about pot on here which I try not to be.
It is not a cure all and there are many things that it will make worse...I wish it was a cure all but its just not.

Ever human is different. I wouldn't tell you that it was beneficial unless I've experienced it with my normal work-out routine. For me It does feel great lighting weights high.. You feel more upbeat and driven, And you cannot feel the burn as quickly or as much...Which has made me stronger. Trust me. I have no reason to lie to you people.

When I get on my bike I like to smoke first, it allows me to get into a cadence,eases the muscle tension,relaxes me so I can get the ole cardio going. there is something to be said about this. when I smoke the miles fly by!!

I lift weights at home when i can be fucked. I do push ups likewise. I just played football for 2 hours and 20 minutes straight... i'm fucking exhausted and now i have to go to work. Oh well, at least i have some beautiful cannabis awaiting my return.

I agree with bucknuts.
I do get high before working-out, but the only reason is because I have cancer. My veins are damaged, so it's excurciatingly painful when doing certain free-weight exercises and cannabis helps me reduce that pain.
Otherwise, I'd work out sober. You'd be a lot more productive in the long-run and you can lift far more in the long-run. But doing power-lifting techniques, smoking and work-out can be dangerous.

I could see burning one down before a nice jog I guess. I take a few hits before going on a bike ride, but never before working out. Not because it makes me all stupid, but because it's smoke. Smoke makes it hard to breathe and you need all the O2 you can get when lifting.

I do that every day, the mix of endorphins and blazing is one of the best mixes ever. Flopping your ass on the couch and hitting a bong is okay but you feel like a lazy bum when you get tired and burnt later. When youve worked out hard it feels way more deserved

If I smoke before I go to the gym I hurt more and lift less, although I feel like I'm doing a lot more work. I could see it being helpful if you have arthritis or something like that. I do agree that it could be a big safety concern esp. if you're spoting for someone.

To the dude going crazy over smoking before lifting: from personal experience I am unmotivated to work out at all. When I smoke, I suddenly really enjoy exercising and all that. Maybe you can lift less or something if you're high, but for me I have to be high even to want to BE there. So in my case, WEED HELPS

I am not going Brittney Spears crazy or anything but c'mon now guys. I love getting stoned, but there is a time and a place for everything. To the people who disagree and say it is beneficial as it "motivates" or "energizes" them. Your delusional, you need to take a break from the pipe and realize the world doesn't revolve around getting high. I am a pothead, but not a biased pothead who thinks weed is the end all be all cure for it all. Get high but don't get stupid people.
I can see if you light up before a bike ride. But if you got 405 on the bar, and your on your last set couple reps of your last set, you can already barely breathe, you feel lightheaded, you felt like your legs would give out 5 reps ago, you need all the power, energy, oxygen, and stamina you can muster, and I am sorry, nobody has shown me any credible evidence that weed can possibly help you IN the weightroom. It would HURT you in that situation, you need all the air your blacked out lungs can handle. The burn, you want to feel that, that means your doing it right. If you don't feel the burn your not lifting enough weight and/or not doing enough reps.
Why not reward yourself afterwards with a nice session when it actually IS beneficial than be the token(no pun intended) retarted pothead who thinks weed can help him do anything. There is a time and a place for everything, learn some self control, don't be so delusional, and don't be so biased about the herb. There's none so blind as they that won't see....

So with this theory if I sniffed down an 80 OxyContin and went to the gym I could hulk it out like Arnold right? 80 OC is about as powerful a pain reducer as you can get besides the real thing or the 120's. This theory is bullshit, your logic is bullshit, and you my friend are talking through a haze of thick smoke that is clouding your thought processes. Unless you have joint pain, the pain you feel from lifting is a GOOD pain, it means your doing it right. That pain is in your muscles, don't worry, they'll come back stronger than ever later. Sometimes I just have to sit back and realize that weed effects people in different ways. Some people it doesn't really change their overall personality that much, they just like gettin' high. Some people it makes them DUMBASSES.

If someone smokes before they go gym thats there perogative, it MAY energize them, each person is differant is all this place only about people disagreeing with other peoples posts like crazy these days? Theres no comprimising. Personally i'd never get high then go to the gym but thats my opinion it aint got shit to do with no one else,

Buck I agree with you but one thing I do know is mind over matter. If it puts someone in a certain mindset it may be beneficial for a workout....only mentally though. It will without a doubt hurt you physically...that science fact.
