need to lower pH

A few days ago I asked how to raise my pH now I find out its 11, I need it to drop, what household items could i use to reduce it, anyone have a good recipe that won't kill the plants?

are you sure your meter or tester is working right as I would already expect the plants to be dead if you ph is 11.

well I used litmus paper cause I can't afford a pH meter, and the paper went lilacy pink, which in my chemistry textbook shows an alkali at 10-11.

you can use white vinegar mixed with ur flush water to lower PH

just make sure you add a bit then test/add test , if you make to acidic just add some tap water, because tap water is usually somewhere around 7 to 8 ph

yeah i'll give 1/4 the normal dose to get a feel for things, then i'll work out the correct ratio, thanks again.
