Seeds??

I have been a long time smoker and I wanted to strat growing to save some money. I have read all sorts of stuff on growing but there is not usually info on seeds. I have a lot of seeds from the bags I have got and I was wondering if they would be any good? And I also heard if you put seeds in a glass of water the ones that sink are fertile and the ones that float arent, is this true? Any help would be much appreciated :hippy:

Depends what you were smoking... brick tends to be sativa and lanky and harder to grow indoors... dank bagseeds are like a gift from the ganja gods IMO... I started my grow that way... mmmmm..... at the very worst, they are good practice because yes, you WILL fuck up and you WILL learn from it.

Brown plump stripy seeds are good. Pale, greenish seeds are unripe.

Brown plump stripy seeds are good. Pale, greenish seeds are unripe.

The weed isnt brick weed but its not dank, I think it might be dank that was grown or harvested wrong becuase the buds look good but the smell and taste are not too great...

Garbage in, garbage out.
But I HIGHLY recommend doing at least a couple test runs of seedings, since that is the easiest step to fuck up, and see if you can get them to:
-germinate
-pop out root tips
-break dirt once they are planted
-not dry out, get the wilts, drown, or get burnt by soil nutes or lights
-not stretch because you underestimated the amount of light necessary to grow a healthy seedling
-bring them up to the magic 5 nodes where they are ready to be treated like real plants, and transplant them without killing them.

If you can recall how the high was from any of the seeds you may have stored up, they can all be used. Just some might not be worth growing for 3 months when its a seed from some mexican brick
