So, no surprise at all that all of the Left leaning News agency's are deciding not to report about the President of the ACLU being arrested on Child Porn Charges.

CNN,ABC,CBS,New York Times, LA Times are all refusing to report about these charges,even tho he has admitted to buying Child Porn online with his credit card, the only left leaning press to even mention it was the Washing Post, way back on page 12. ABC Has put up the AP Story on their website, but nothing has been said on their broadcast.

Now imagine if say, Pat Robertson was caught with child porn, it would be on Front page news/headlines for days and days to come...

When I turn to FN I always keep my good eye oprn. Yeah I turn it on every once in a while just to see how the extreme right is planning to turn America into Nazi controlled concentration camps for dissenters, boy talk about some idiot "news" Anchors. The "news" is always squacked from the right even though it's wrong. on a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being far left, 10 being far right and 5 being pure information) the major media outlets rate about a 3. they are the way they are because that stokes controversy and that's what sells. all in all, the us is a rather conservative country and by fanning the flames created by the socialist left media creates the interest needed to keep the readers reading the the viewers viewing. it has nothing to do with political ideology or right and wrong, it's purely a matter of increasing sales. if the country's majority took a sudden turn to the left, the media would most likely swing more to the right to keep their revenues up.

Of course the view of the media is biased from the point of the viewer. A right winger sees left and visa-versa, There are few objective viewers, so this discussion can not be quantified or qualified. My personal view (Left leaning) is that the major news channels have not been doing their jobs of exposing the wrongs in the government when they run Anna Nicole Smith 24-7, or Brittiney or the astronaught lady, They should be running pictures of blown up people in Iraq, body bags coming back with Americans in them and 24-7 investigations into War profiteering by the present people in charge of the war. Using Anna nicole to fill time on news shows really shows how much influence the right wing corporations that own them have over the content. Most of us know what is going on, but there are a few that don't and I think these are the people that vote, because they voted the same crowd in a second time (this goes back to my statement about the lack of intelligence in the south). I cant believe that just because a candidate says he's for Jesus and then does everything exactly opposite of what Jesus professed, he can garner the vote of the Christian right. These people are below average intelligence period. They have definently let fantasy trump reality. And back to Fantasy, that is about all you get from the major news outlets, there are a few exceptions, Lou Dobbs comes to mind, Kieth Olberman, and Chris mathews maybe, but all in all, they just put nonsense on the program, stuff my wife likes to watch, (Anna Niccole etc), I love her, but she is definently not political. I'll stick to my preferances and my favorite, Jon Stewart, that is more like news than any major news channel.

you should look into "democracy now" and inn report as a news source. watch it with your wife and tell her this is what real news looks like. i have dish network, and they play it on free speech tv. i know it's on Link Tv (channel) for directTV service...
the reason i say this is because john stewart has his role too. Stephen Colbert helped me realize this as well. Funny how intricate the propa war is.

Uhhhh, disgrunteled soldiers, you mean the ones that have done three to five combat tours in 4 years because the leaders didn't plan for an insurgency and continue to send them back into the combat areas time after time. At least in Viet Nam, if you made it through your thirteen month tour, you were able to get out and stay out. This "War" is the most mismanaged in the history of the country and needs to stop now. Let the sunnis and shias sort it out.

There is a reason they don't cover the North American Union, Real ID Act, or how the Federal Reserve is a private central bank. everything is a conspiracy. according to the left everything the exec does is shrouded by conspiracy, the right claims that their words and deeds are twisted by a conspiracy, even the moderates seem to feel that there is a conspiracy to polarize the political landscape. you can't pick up a rock without finding some fool beneath it screaming about a conspiracy. believing that there are conspirators lurking around every corner seems to be the paranoia du jour. believing that there are evil forces out to get them seems to make some folks feel important. maybe it's time we realized that the only conspiracy going on here is our own stupidity conspiring to make fools of us all.

as we waste our time pointing fingers and rooting out these nefarious cabals, the real business of government is getting swept into the corner. we waste millions uncovering the foolishness of this group or that and the whole time we ignore the simple fact that we allowed it all to happen by our own blind arrogance. instead of wasting our energies blaming our own faults on others, maybe we should be making sure that we don't make the same mistakes again. by blaming someone else we avoid taking responsibility and the responsibility rests squarely on the shoulders of those who allowed this government to become so unresponsive to the will of its citizens, the people themselves.

maybe it's too late to fix it, from all of the conflicting rhetoric i hear i'm inclined to believe that to be true. maybe it's time to tear it all down and rebuild from a more up-to-date model, nothing lasts forever.
