What are the most idiotic things you've heard ppl say against weed?

I was on a gaming board and somebody posted a topic about gaming and smoking, and I couldn't believe how mean and ignorant ppl can be about ppl who smoke! Here's some of the things ppl said about smokers:

-"People who use drugs are idiots who deserve to die. Period. End of story."

-"Any habit that gets you thrown in jail for doing it makes you an idiot for having it."

-"I dont do drugs.Im not a dumass like most of you" (note that he misspelled dumbass)

-"Smoking Pot = Idiotic.That's what makes stoners idiots.You don't have to mention it. You just have to do it to meet the prerequisites for being one."

-"Pot spelled backwards is Dumb."

Anyway, if you wanna read the whole thread, go to gamefaqs, the GTA SA section and look for the thread at the top of the page called "anybody blaze up and get totally lost in this game?" Sorry, but gamefaqs is weird about external linking so I can't provide a link.

And I've already gotten accepted into University of Nebraska... so.. Yeah. But you were right about the pot thing! This all did happen right after I started... what a shame huh?"

Fools think just because you don't attend their school for a month and they see you smoking pot that you're a drop out... quite the opposite.

Check out the movie Reefer Madness; it's good for a laugh, until you realize that uninformed people will most often believe what they're told by anyone who presents themself as an authority. The general public are usually too lazy or afraid to find out the facts for themselves, and like they're issues to be spoon fed and simple to understand. Good guy/Bad guy, etc. People don't want to examine their prejudices, they want them reinforced. The guy who calls you "bad" is really attempting to rationalize that he is "good".

By the way, we're people. We should question our own beliefs from time to time.

Needless to say, the other issues of politics, control, etc., are another chapter altogether.

One of the stupidest things ive heard was that weed is bad because its illegal. Hmmmm alcohol was made illegal before and then re legalized. Now its no different, then when it was illegal, and everyone thinks its not bad at all yet alcohol kills hundreds of thousands of more people each year then weed. Not that weed kills people, but being irresponsible about smoking can cause death (ex. car accident...........eating too much lol.). I hate this fuckin country and all the fuckin people that believe what the gov. tells them about weed. Shit they wont even let dying people smoke for medicinal purposes even when it can save their life. What the fuck is wrong with the FDA? They will make shit like vicodin and codine making it available for people to overdose on it killing themselves everyyear, yet when they hear marijuana, they condemn it. Marijuana being illegal is pretty much an opinion based law because the law isnt based on scientific study, but instead is more of a money making/losing based law. They also say that making it legal would cause an increase in crime. When alcohol was criminalized, crime increased significantly. Go figure, the gov. doenst know shit. Look at amsterdam. A lot of drugs are tolerated there even heroin. They dont have a lot of crime at all compared to us. Making weed legal wouldnt cause crime to go up, it would probably have the opposite effect.

"I do not do any drugs. But i was , in fact, addicted to pot during my first few years of high school. I remember getting high in the morning before school, outside at lunch time and then non-stop after school. I was depressed and pot, since it's also a depressant, made me worse and got me really sick. I even went to the hospital and got treatment. And people think weed isn't a dangerous drug!?! OOKAY lol."

imotep, not only that, but she forgot to mention somewhere in her equation of "drugs=bad because it made me depressed" that she's bipolar and takes antidepresants........I'm not entirely sure, but I'm pretty sure it's the fact that she's bipolar that she ended up in the hospital:rolleyes:

A lot of my friends said that pot is a "hippie drug" and that smoking it makes you a hippy. Oh okay, so I smoke it, and I'll instantly have dreadlocks, drive a VW bus and smell like patchouli?

It's amazing how malleable our perceptions of drugs can be. In the early 1900s EVERYBODY used cocaine. I mean everybody, old ladies, everybody. That's bc cocaine was promoted as a miracle health aid that can cure everything. It wasn't considered a drug, or bad at all. Back then, if you did cocaine, you were doing something good for your health, like drinking a health shake or something. Now, if you do cocaine, you're the devil! And if you smoke pot, you're a hippy!
