I have been wondering to myself why it smelled so bad when I would walk outside lately. I dismissed it, thinking it was a dead animal under the house or just from all the rain we have been having. Well tonight my g/f asks why it is so wet underneath the house (a raised house.)

I look under with a flashlight and guess what I see... A piece of PVC pipe disconnected from the rest of your septic system, along with a bunch of human waste underneath my house!

Just what I want to fucking do, crawl through our human shit in order to fix it! I'm just glad no one else has used our bathroom lately...

What pisses me off is it will be so simple to fix, I may need to get a new piece of PVC (I'm not sure if it cracked or anything.) But there is no way to avoid the mess that has already been caused.

I respect plumbers. I have had several people suggest that as a career option, saying you can make pretty good money. I just can't see myself doing that everyday. I'm a bit germaphopic(sp), and would not be able to deal with that stuff on a daily basis.

for the last few months ive been working with my uncle as a commercial plumber. ill tell you right now that shit is a huge paying business and im proud to be working it.

let me try to spit this out all high. (4 gravity hits so i cant possibly use any tomorrow...homework) so we mostly dug huge ditches and changed sewers or water lines,weve changed cleanouts a million times. and weve pumped the nastiest feces and etc in the whole earth from a 100% mexicanj trailer park in the middle of nowhere in the desert. But if we didnt want to touch all that we always thought of a smart idea .

the smell wont go away just because you fixed the pipe you need to wash all the shit away, use a hose or buckets of water something like that to flush it away and you will be able to fix the pipe without bathing in your own shit:D

I worked in a apt complex as the plumber... the complex had bad sewers that backed up constantly... the past supers went and opened the cleanout caps in the basements and crawlspaces so the backups would not come up in the toilots... Fun job with my waders and a 2" pump...

Jag get a bag of Lime and spread on the waste it will make it a little better to deal with...

I will get some lime than, as for time, I have no clue how long it has been broken. My guess is it's been broken a few days, I hope I don't notice differently when I climb under the house. I noticed today though, that it is starting to flood into our yard. I will prob poor lime on it and than try and shovel as much of I can up into a bucket or something.

I wish I had noticed it when it first happened, I checked again today and it looks like there is a lot more paper than waste, so that seems positive. I should be able to fix it tomorrow. My g/f's dad is coming over tomorrow to help too. I'm sure he will have some good ideas as well.

jagged its a bad job.. i have done plenty of them doing rehabs and whatnot. Best thing i can tell you is to make sure you get a fan going while youre under there. I wear rubber gloves under my work gloves and a mask if its leaking. Get you some throw away tarps to lay on etc. When your done you may want to cover the area with lime if its a dirt rea or even dig it out and bury the old soil thats there with some clean stuff. Either way the job sucks. I had one down in Evansville indiana i was doing and the damn pipe broke when we were taking it out and guess what? Me and my bro ended up getting a shit shower..it sucked. Some i have done were so bad i literally had to put toothpaste under my nostrils to kill off some of the odor i was breathing..camphor works better but toothpaste will do. good luck

You need a drain cleaning company that does plumbing on the side... bigger companies will do it cause they can send the new guy... I was once the new guy and I was sent to a house to change 3 toilot seats... The people were from a country that squated instead of sat,,,what a disgusting place that was... all the guys were laughing at me when I got back to the shop...
