my buddy and i were just on our way home after a two hour drive, well we're a bout five minutes from home, when all the sudden out of nowhere three deer are standing in the road ....we managed to slow down a little but not enough and all the sudden BLAM-O. three downed deer. we pull over , get out and inspect the damage. one broken headlight and that was it. the stupid deer on the other hand didnt fair so well, two of them died instantly. the other one...well let's just say she needed to be 'put down'.

I live in Pennsylvania so we have them and turkey out in the yard...hell I have one hanging above the fire place at my praents house haha. Ive never hit one though but ive seen a hell of alot of cars hit them. Some lady was impaled by the horns of a 12 point buck last year.

skink , yeah no doubt, i've seen one deer do hundreds of dollars of damage. one headlight is not bad at all considering we bopped three of them.

gatekeeper~ after a deer gets hit by a car, the meat is mostly ruined. imagine your arm or leg after a bad ass bruise, thats what basically the entire deer looks like. not worth the trouble at all.

deer can fuck up your ride. my dad hit one about a year ago, windshield, a headlight, and the hood all had to be replaced

i would love to sit in that room w/ the deer above the fireplace and smoke a blunt. I live in pa, but never see that kinda wild stuff.

word of advice about those four legged car crunchers....if you know without a doubt that you're going to hit one, you have no chance in hell of stopping, don't slam on the brakes, because that will lower the front of your car and the deer will have a better chance of going up and over the hood and into the windshield. but if you floor it, the nose of the car will rise, and give you a better chance of not having bambi in your lap. but this is only for a last resort if you dont have a chance of stopping.

rebgirl ~ i live in north central PA , in the damn woods. around here, its either you have hit a deer, or you havent yet and you will.

the next time i buy a vehicle, i'm buying a truck, and you can bet your botom dollar i'm putting a big ol deer basher on the front of it.

i went past where we hit the deer yesterday and all three of them were gone, i think some hick must have picked them up later that night.

i hit a large buck couple of years back, whilst travelling at approx 30mph lucky for me the deer didn't roll up onto the car only damage to the car was a dent in the hood, the car was a piece of shit anyway i was more concerned about the deer,it ran back into the forest, it probally died of shock.
