Hi,
I just bought one of those ez hydro kits for 160.00. It has a dual spectrum
125 watt hd and hps light. Can as a turn key kit w/ everything to start.
Anyway, my 4 plants are in the end of seedling stage --- going into veg
stage. Dec. 4th was 2 weeks and I went from a 5.5ph water to a nutrient
mix(that came with it) that included 1.75 teaspoons of both base and grow
plus 1 teaspoon of catalyst. Also put the pump on low all according to the
instructions.
Problem is this -- on Sat. when I made the change everything was fine.
By Monday-Tues I started getting some yellow bottom(new) leaves on 3
out of 4 plants. What is this problem and how do I solve it????
Any help would be greatly appriciated.
Thanks,
Redbud555 :(

Yes -- the bottom leaves are yellow -- however it looks like the yellow is trying to travel to the top -- it is starting to blend in with the green. Someone PLEASE HELP!!

Howdy redbud555,

I don't know much about hydro..but I'll try to help..are the bottom leaves the round leaves ? If so,then it's normal for the plant to shed those leaves. With the yellow spreading-it makes me think that the plants are having a nutrient up-take problem..or it could be that when the ferts kick in-you'll see the yellowing go away. Wait a couple more days to see how things work out.

Have a good one...Torog
