I have the flu and I feel soo bad. I have had it for about 3 days now. Some how I feel better than yesterday and the day before but man I hate this shit. I only had the flu once before this time. I can't even use marijuana because I feel so bad and today is like the first day I have gotten out of bed. I feel weak lol, I was really hoping that I would just die in my sleep because I felt so damn bad. I was just wondering what can I do to help this thing go away faster and does anyone know what I can do to just avoid the the flu completely next time? Also I don't use marijuana for every problem I had but I couldn't help but wonder if there was a strain that could help me feel better with a problem like that? I was just wondering because I took so many cough drops and doses of flu relief medicine but it never seemed to last longer than 30 mins. Maybe I just lost track of time because I was so sick but I would wake up shortly after I took the stuff and cough out my insides lol. My head was spinning and I had pain like everywhere..why dose the flu exist? :(

Vitamin C, Orangeman, and lots of fluids and rest. If you've already had the flu for three days, it's too late to take one of the anti-viral drugs that helps shorten the duration/lessen the severity of viral illnesses, and of course you'd have to get that prescribed from a doctor anyway. Be on the lookout for secondary infections that linger on. Stay home till you stop running fever so you're not contagious to others, particularly old folks and babies, who're more susceptible than others. The flu lasts for 10 days to two weeks in most folks, I'm afraid.
Next year, get a flu vaccination to prevent flu! It won't stop all strains of it, but it'll help prevent many of them. They're inexpensive and worth it. If you're school age, you're at risk because you're around so many kids all day long.
Feel better, my sweet baby!

Thx Birdgirl but what exactly are these "secondary infections"? Also I'll be sure to get a flu shot next year. I never want this again...

Well, sometimes people who get the flu, which is caused by a virus and so can't be treated with antibiotics in the same way that a simple bacterial infection such as a sore throat or bronchitis, get "seconday" bacterial infections. That is, they're weakened and susceptible during or after the flu and so pick up bronchitis or a bacterial sore throat or sinus infection or something like that in addition to the original, primary flu. So it's simply secondary to the primary illness, which was the viral influenza. It's often hard to distinguish one disease from another, especially when you're still actively sick from the flu because that particular virus pretty well infects everything from your respiratory system to your digestive system to your joints and muscles. But once the flu has run its typical two-week course and someone is still sick, particularly still running fever of some kind, that's often an indication that a secondary infection has taken hold. (I know this because both times I've had the flu, I also ended up with secondary bronchitis.)
Keep an eye out for a PM from me, sweetie. I have an idea I want to share with you. My email address will be on my signature on that PM and you can write me back!

Lol ok cool Birdgirl :D. Also I'm just wondering is this bronchitis that I can possibly get temporary or what? I don't know what kind of sickness I might have had because I have only been sick for about 4 days but now I feel so much better, almost like I have never been sick but my chest still feels like crap.

Well, it takes a while for the respiratory part of the flu to clear up, and so it may simply be that you're still recovering from that, you know? Often after the other things like body aches and pains are gone, there's still lingering chest tighteness/coughing/crap.
