It has been awhile since I have been to the drive in. I thought tonight would be a good night for it. So, I took all the girls to the store, let them get what snacks they wanted and went to the drive in. They had a great time, we saw Reno 911 and Norbit. The entrance only cost 10 bucks for all of us. plus the snacks...$15..So, 25$ total. Not too bad...for 5 of us and 2 movies. Anyone else ever been to the drive in, it is a dying institution.

Tommorrow we are going to the beach to see if we can spot some gray whales making the migration to Mexico.

We have a drive-in here in Wichita and my GF and I go 6-8 times a year...they allow mild partying and allow you to campout overnite so as not to force folk into a DUI...Needlass to say makes for a good and safe way to kill a Sat evening!!

My last Drive in movie was Beverly hills Cop back in 84... wise to get the snacks before you go... Was there like hot dogs and burgers in the consession stand there???

Good stuff.

Find a place that broadcasts it on FM band.

Then you can put your speakers and subs in your mobile to work for you.

I've been to one or two when I was a little one. Saw the first austin powers at the drive in.

I'd love to go, but I don't really have anyone to go with. Theres one like 10min from my house.

ive always wanted to have sex with a girl at a drive in 50s style, then we'd role play and pretend my name was Chip and I was heading out to fight in Korea tomorrow and it was our last night together, possibly forever (sigh):stoned:

The only drive in I know of in my entire state is the one my University creates for 1 night every year... They may not even do it anymore, there were a total of 20 something cars the one time I went.

I remember when I was little there was a drive in that played xxx movies and my parents would drive past it on the way to the Jersey shore... I used to wait till we passed to look and catch a little titty shot...

The only one I've ever gone to was when I was like 14 and we say Dudlee do right :) It was fun, I remember they had a food stand, speakers on a pole next to your car, and some random cage with a man in a gorilla costume in it :wtf:

Yeah these days there is no pole next to your car anymore. Just tune in to a certain station on your FM knob and your set. It is like FX sound or something. I have a woofer in my SUV so it sounded good.
I did sneak off to smoke a bowl between the movies. Then got smoe nachos from the concession stand.

Could be a great place to sit and just get stoned on hours on end. After the 2 movies play, they restart the 1st one. So, in reality you could see 3 movies.

Since I never intend to own a vehicle, i'll simply walk in or sit on my chair and watch tv.

There used to be a few in my area, but they've all closed now.
Last thing I saw at the drive-in was,Risky Business/Vision Quest,back in '84.
I still miss 'em,it was cool being able to blaze, while watching a movie.
