I never think marijuana is a sin considering he put it on earth, but that is one thing I will never do is tear up a page of the bible to roll a joint and smoke it.

I've known people that's done it, lol! It actually makes for a decent smoke (from what I hear). :D I wouldn't do it, either man. Not that I think it matters, its just my bibles are all over 100 dollars and I'd just soon go buy some papers or smoke out of a friggin can than use any of them, lol!

What's so bad about burning part of the Bible? It's just a bunch of ink squiggles on paper. It's not like it'll hurt anybody or like it's the last Bible on Earth or something (although I'd consider burning the last Bible on Earth if I had it...).

Instead of burning it, you would have the other option of selling it and becoming very rich. :D

Unfortunately this poor girl associates the Bible with the dickweed authority figures she's angry with. This is really sad, because in some ways the Bible is one of the most revolutionary and punchy documents man has ever possessed.
Given this, it is really between her and God as to how "guilty" she is for what she did. Like Jesus Christ said upon the Cross, with regard to those who were nailing Him to the Cross - "forgive them Father, for they know not what they do."

I'd consider burning the last Bible on Earth if I had it.
I would burn it in the hope that people would forget about christianity and this religion they are taught and determine with no outside interference what they believe in. also it might help to stop all these religous wars. Id prolly be crucified for burning it and in 1,000 years id get my own religion
O and if u couldn't tell im not a christian:jointsmile:

I'd never dream of rolling a joint from a bible, unless I'd run out of papers, in which case I would do it in heartbeat. I was made to read it as a kid and it was a self contradictory text that paints a dark and primitive view of the nature of the universe. Horrible book, should be banned.
I dont like poisionous ink on my papers.

i'm a bible believing christian. i believe the bible, is the word of God, the original writings of the original authors in the original languages.
i don't think the translations of copies that we have are perfect (there are different manuscripts anyway), but i believe they're very close.
anyway, i wouldn't mind using a bible page to smoke. i just wouldn't want to tear up my bible :)

I'm curious about this. What motivated an omnipotent and eternal being to decide that the best way of getting his message out was to appear only to Jewish Men and rely on them to pass his wisdom on to the rest of the world, despite the fact that Judaism is not an evangelical religion. Why is it that God was happy in biblical times to do some really high profile stuff like the flood or parting the red sea, but today he only talks to schizophrenics and never does any headline grabbing miracles anymore. He doesn't even have a web page! For someone who was popping down for a chat with humanity every five minutes, he seems to have got really camera shy since cameras were invented.

There are a number of mistranslations of epic proportions that completely change the meaning of the stories in every important respect. My favourite is that the Hebrew for "young woman" was mistranslated as "virgin", but by the time anyone noticed the "Virgin Mary" myth had become too firmly established to challenge without being accused of heresy

I have smoked bible paper when i was in the guard house in the army they only let you have 2 cigs a day then it was 1972, I cant remember what was in it whether it was tobacco or belly button fluff, And I had to light it with an electric kettle element , whilst I was making the guard sergeants tea (and spitting in it) This is a true story

a "almah", a young woman or maid, would by definition be a virgin; young women that weren't married were virgins, well, for the most part; i think more study would be necessary to come to a definitive answer on this point; be careful getting your info from one source; what is your source?
there seems so much hostility against Christianity for unknown reasons; i wonder why

when you translate "almah" into vergin it's a miss-translation

The original King James Bible (and most bibles prior to 1885) was written on hemp paper, and you can make ink from cannabis seed oil or melted hash resin! So I don't see where it's wrong to do so! I've never used a page to do so,but I Have packed a bowl or rolled a joint ON a bible while readin' the scriptures,so it's no big deal to me really.

been there, done that... nothing wrong with it. the pages are just like the pages in any other book. the writings may not be, but paper books are paper books. i am sure that god would not be offended, except that it probably is not very healthy and god cares about out health!

I would'nt feel regret or anything from smoking the bible but papers are so cheap whats the point of doing that..the only thing i can think of is if your in a hotel room or somthing and dont have anything to smoke out of cause they usually have bibles in a drawer somewhere.

It's a fact that in the 1500's, some King(as if I pay attention to details in history class) edited small parts of the bible to his own liking and destroyed all previously known copies and printed a revised version, is that not horrible? I want to know what he changed...

there are a couple problems smoking from the bible that i have.
1) smoking the raw smoke from a joint in the first place isn't the most healthy thing in the world, add in ink and the chemical heavy paper they print on and thats just being rude to your lung.
2) the bible is literature and i have a deep and profound respect for all litterature just because words can be such a mirical.
that being said im not christian and if others want to smoke from the bible thats no biggie its not like the world is having a shortage of bibles, at the same time ur not gonna find me smoking a bible jay any time soon.
