ok, the idea behind this is to grow a plant the best you can the cheapest you can. for example mine, i have a plantpot i found in my back garden, soil from my back garden, seeds from the bait shop (£1) a lamp i already had and some tinfoil. any one else want to try feel free to its just a bit of fun. :jointsmile: (pictures coming up):)

haha awesome man.
i dunno if this counts, but i got a 2ft worklight with 2xT-12's in it for 5 bucks at walmart. starting seedlings with it...

im not that bothered if it survives or or not as i said its only a bit of fun. however i am startin one in a greenhouse where ill have proper soil an everythin.

what bulb is in that lamp mate, and how longs it on for each day?

it is a standard 60 watt but i am thinkin about a brighter one now ive got it to 2 1/2 inches

Scrap the incandescent bulb and pick up some compact fluorescent lights.

Incandescent = too much heat + wrong spectrum
CFL = energy efficient, right spectrum, low heat, etc...

its just a BS grow. to see if it works i think. but im just using that light as an extra little side light on veg plants...

if u look at my thread called my second grow, i got a outside light fixture, and change cup from las vegas, some aluminum foli, and 2 diff bulbs,

my little plant died, i just came home one day and it was wilted right to the ground and yellowed:( but ah well, im not fussed

I would blame the incandescent bulb with the tinfoil ... awful mix.
