It seems everywhere I look, people are growing white widow and the seeds bank are really marketing this strain as one of the top plant in the world â?¦ (If not the best plant to grow).
Iâ??m having problems right now with my indoor growing area so I will probably have to do it outdoor (let's hope not) but was still wondering if it was really such an amazing strain?
Does it perform as good outdoor as indoor?

....my white widow/white rhino did very well indoors....if there's a better strain...I don't think I could handle it....:)...but...have never read about anybody doing that well with it outdoors...but anything can do OK outside...
...if I was going to grow outside..it would be Master Kush X KC 33...from Nivana...all of this is JUST my opinion....:)...enjoy..

I had 3 different strain growing outdoor last summer and all my plants got stolen ! I had some pure Afghani, some big bud X super skunk and some white widow. In august, it was really hard to differenciate one strain from the other as far as how tall anf fat they looked.
I have some left over white widow seeds ans was wondering if sticking to them would be worth it or not ?

OK, so I guess it lives up to its reputation. It's official, the white widow has won the battle !
Any other comments would be greatly appreciated if you ever worked with the white widow in an outdoor environment.
Thanks.

A friend of mine in Key Largo smoked me out a couple times with what he said was White Widow, and I must say...it was one of the best smokes I've ever had the pleasure of toking. Flavor wise as well as errr, punch. Probably second only to my one encounter with authentic ATF.
Let's just say the drives home from his place were...interesting.
For me, weed is like beer: I'll take the white stuff gladly (Belgian whites rule!) ;)
Edit: I hear White Rhino will knock your ass flat, but I have yet to sample it...

....one thing...about peeps going to grow outside...they never say whether it's outside in the Ground ...or outside in big pots...
...if I was going to grow outside....no matter where it was...I would use big pots...:)...but that's just me...

Big pots are definitely the way to go. That is how all the best outdoor crops I see are done, and out here we see a lot of them!:rastasmoke:

Big pots are definitely the way to go.
Why ?
I've been an outdoor grower foever and always made a 2/3 to 3 feet hole putting pure sheep crap in the bottom and filling the rest of the hole with Pro Mix. I use the HEAVY HARVEST food from Advanced Nutrience for the entire summer and add some bud blood, big bud and overdrive from august to end of october (depending on strain) and always get great results !
If growing in pots will give me bigger yield and an higher quality harvest, PLEASE SHARE THE WISDOM ! Would't growing in pot be more work as you would have to water them yourself all the time ?
Thanks for your help.

Yes...WW is bloody lovely, and a favourite of many growers.
Strong, tasty, easy to grow and with a relativly quick flower period,
its definatly a good one to start with.
Though do be careful with the nutrients as WW is kinda sensative to over fert. I would reccomend using 1/2 - 3/4 strength feed with this strain , never full feeds.
Ive never grown it outdoors however, only indoor , so i cant comment on how it will perform outside.

Those are some nice plants! How much do you get off of each of them? 3-4oz or so?
I have never had white widdow but white rhino was so powerful that I thought my head was a steam engine and I kept dipping my head in some water so it wouldn't overheat lol, I smoked so much of that stuff.

no way man a lot more then that, i get anywhere from 1/2 pound to 3/4 per plant, the best i have grown i got 2.5 pounds from one plant but that was much bigger. The tyed down one in the pic is about 8ft tall if untie it and the other around 7ft but very bushy tipped it a lot .

Wow... I thought they were only like a meter tall. Do they last all year and bud every year?

July i start them under lights for about 2 months then then around September i put them out side, they usually have really nice growth by then, around early febuary they start to budd, so they get around 6 to 7 months of veg cycle.

2 months of that veg cycle is under lights the rest out doors in pots i do this just to give them a kick start before the season starts,
That would be the Southern Hemisphere i live in.
Yes feb/march is budding time here at the moment are only a few weeks away from finishing up, summer just finished , days are getting shorter yadda yadda

We just got past the first frost in the south-west USA. Last frost was 2 weeks ago and I am just starting my indoor and outdoor crop inside. I am using an autoflowering lowryder though, so the flowering cycle is about 2 months if its winter or summer. When I go up to lake tahoe I plan on bringing seeds with me and guerilla farming them in the mountains behind where we live. Sorry for the hijacking.

Big pots gives you more control. More control = better care. Watering your plants often is the best way to feed them often right? The more you feed the better. And not to mention the HUGE advantage of flushing with ease, in my opinion the most important part. I love huge pots! :hippy:

Dont wanna rain on your parade, but I did find this:
White Widow is a very potent strain of cannabis popular in coffee shops in the Netherlands. It has won the Cannabis Cup and is named for the abundance of trichomes, giving the plant a whitish tint. It is mostly known for its effect on the nervous system, causing temporary lack of co-ordination and sometimes the full inability to move source?. However, the quality of White Widow strains has decreased sharply. The heavy indica hit it is noted for has become lessened in many strains.
