View Full Version : Hydroponics Nutrients
:) Hydroponics Nutrients
can some one recommend G.H products that are similar
to these Advanced Nutrients products ?
Advanced Nutrients Bud Blood ( speed up transition from veg to bloom )
Advanced Nutrients Big Bud (provide large fruit set (3-4 weeks) â?? extreme high in potassium )
Advanced Nutrients Over Drive ( has high amount of potassium & phosphorous which promotes more sugar, resin, taste and
aroma. Helps to finish the fruit )
I do not want to mix Nutrients from two manufacturers ! ?
This is for a flood & drain hydro sys
has some one use this products together ? :smokin:

I use GH also. Isnt the GH Kool Bloom similar to big bud? Why dont you want to mix GH with AN nutrients?
Well some G.H and A.N mite not mix together (play wheal whit each other) or you may be doubling up on some of the additives (you never know 100% what is in them )
and A.N are just a little expensive
but I`m not saying im not willing to use G.H and A.N I just prefer not to !

That is very true.
The GH, Canna, and Humbolt County lines all play well together.
Flower booster from canna
Gravity Hardener and Purple Maxx both from Humbolt are good as well.
Dutch Master goes well with most of the GH line too btw.

Zandor-have you used the humboldt products yourself and what are your thoughts. i live in the area and have seen these products around sparingly for awhile, but have noticed them all over the shelves lately in my local stores. they seem to have gained some popularity. have always heard mixed reviews about them-but everyting gets a mixed review 'round here. curious if you or your 'loop' likes their products.

keep in mind...when you say you don't want to mix nutrients GH and AN 3-part are the same thing. Many advanced nutrients are copies or tweaked copies of other companies products. For booster, I would try AN's New Hammerhead. 0-9-19. It is a souped up copy of canna pk13/14

For the most part that is very true but it's how they achieve the same formula that makes the difference. There are many sources for many of the minerals they use. Advanced uses a lot more of a scientific approach to blending minerals to make nutrients.
Where GH has a very long standing history of trial and error and even their own science. Their source of many of their minerals is well established. Advanced is still playing catching up so when I speak of some playing well together and some not working as well together is from how they each arrived at the source for their minerals and what combinations produce duplicate minerals.
You can tell most of that from reading labels and comparing ingredients. They also have tech spec sheets you can DL too. They do make for interesting reading I must say although they are meant to be over the head of the average user. They want it that way by design.

I have found many of their products to work just fine. Purple maxx does work but it really works of you have one of the purple strains to start with. It will make it a much darker purple but in the rest of the strains it helps grower a bit stronger and denser buds too. Then you use their finishing flower products.
Their bushmaster works just as promised and does control the height issue many face. If you use it right you can even veg 3 weeks longer then stop the vertical growth and induce flowering. This will give you more time to produce nodes and flower buds in the veg cycle where you can push humidity more and add foliage.
This is using man made products to control nature and takes an art to perfect but can become a viable growing technique with enough thought and work.

Very true again indeed. I might add that having experimented with several Advanced Nutrien Additives, some work and some don't work as well, bvut they are trying, and they are doing it for ...errr well "profit", but for the medical marijuana community as well.
my final point is. NASA uses General hydroponics 3-part. A fairly credible source. Peace That is probably what Z meant when he mentioned GH' "own science"
later. good thread
