Types of pieces

Can someone give me basic descriptions of types of pipes and bongs? I've pretty much smoked just out of regular pipes and bongs, and I feel pretty dumb not being able to tell the difference between a hammer and a bubbler and things like that.

too much work.....just go into a pipe/bong headshop online and look at the diffrent ones and their names

Yea it's impossible to catagorize each one because they're so many!

Like bubblers, you have sherlocks, sidecars, etc. each with a different type of style. Hell I don't know them all, you just have to explore.

and if i may suggest something if your considering getting your first peice start with a metal pipe.....unless you've actually had glass pipes you need to learn how to treat a pipe first.....treat it like your own child lol

no way, start with glass. You'll never go back. Just be careful not to drop it, you're a big girl, right? I think you can handle that much :) Glass hits way better than metal.

Glass is absolutely the ONLY way to go ;)

I just dropped my piece, but its cool cuz now I fixed it (its sweet) and made a bong to fit the new mouth piece!

ok atleast i perfer my metal pipes because they are way easier to take apart....and after so much use (going on how much i use it) there is no bad taste it leaves....but yeah they can be taken apart and they can then be harvested for resin.

You can easily scrape your glass piece, then either boil it or let is soak in Isoproply rubbing alcohol...

I already have three glass pipes and a bong, I'm just having trouble finding out what a "hammer" is, and what the kind of pipes that you can store your weed in while you smoke out of it are called.
