Okay so I estimate about 270-300 billion dollars has been spent on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan since around 2003 and thats a low estimate.
Now there are around 300 million people that live in the USA.
So which would you rather have? A check from the government for close to $1000 or a bunch of dead troops, Bin Laden (a supposed terrorist mastermind, on a kidney dialysis machine) still at large and a massive INCREASE in terrorism. Oh and a country that we have to baby-sit for a monthly cost of $5.8 billion TO US!
Id rather have the check, because an extra 300 billion dollar boost to the economy is a fucking shit load better than a fizzling war started on false pretexts and the entire world wanting our blood.:wtf: :wtf:

I'll take the check, I don't really need the money, Yeah right, but I'd like to stop the alternative!

Giving that money to everybody would just increase inflation and nullify a large portion of the credit. You can't just make more money and everybody's rich, you need the resources to back it up.
Now if that kind of war money (actually substantially less, since it's bankrupting the country) were put into education, healthcare, or perhapse a multitude of disease research, I'd be a good deal more supporting. It seems, though, when kids can't get education and people can't get medicare, we just don't have the money..... but a war in a Iraq? Oh yes, we'll spend any amount on that, here's the funds!

Always keep some un-registered guns, you know the ones you traded your buddy for so neither one of you would have registered guns. They might be coming for them, but here in Nevada, and the wild west in general, they'll never get them all. If you know they're coming, a hole in the ground will do., So far, you can buy and sell guns private party and the seller doesn't have to prove he sold it to someone, at least to my knowledge, so you can always say you sold them.

A balance between taking care of your own people and stopping your enemies is still needed though. Personally though, I think the Iraq invasion was one of the strategically worst moves they could have made in the war on terror.

Me too, they should have rooted out Osama and tried him in a world court. That would have humiliated the rest of them. What makes me wonder why they didn't is all the conspiracy stuff about using him for a scapegoat, Maybe there is something to it.
