Probably Minor Threat for me. That's old school punk there.
I don't listen to a lot of it anymore, but as for newer punk bands, I would have to say Strung Out. They've been around since the early 90's, but they are a wicked ass band. I've seen them twice and the energy is amazing.
Rise Against is a good band too.

I'm glad you liked it. I understand your feelings about 2006, it was a pretty weak year in music, although they were some high points, notably Just Like The Fambly Fat by Grandaddy, Rather Ripped by Sonic Youth, Silent Shout by The Knife, Yo La Tengo's I'm Not Afraid of You and I will Beat Your Ass, there were a few good others, but few and far inbetween.
Hopefully this year will be better, there's a few good albums released this year, although most of them are kinda disappointing, especially Modest Mouse. I was expecting a masterpiece and they fell way short of that, even with headphones.

The Distillers. :)
I lost faith in them after the Coral Fang album came out cos I think Sing Sing Death House was pretty cool, I went to see them and they were a real let down too.

Yea man, it's a pretty good album. It's not up there with Confusion Is Sex, Sister, Daydream Nation, and Goo, but I think it's one of their best works in 10 years.
