hmmmmmm well im not bashing any seed companies here;) but i would stay away from GH. I have never grown out GH but i have read a lot of reviews of poor germ rates, crushed seeds...and i think they are just in it for the money. :twocents:

I also have little faith in a company that has a bazillion choices to choose from. to me that usually means that they didnt spend the time on actual "breeding".....just crossed a male and female together and sells the seeds. again my :twocents:

p.s. and Arajan is deff not the king of cannabis

i have had good experience with Femaleseeds.nl. they have white widow and you can also get a 4 pack or a 10 pack. I bought nothernlights, all turned out to be female but 2 turned hermie; and Nevill haze hybrid(still flowering right now, no signs of hermi) good luck

i just have regular old Nev. Haze hyrbid......from before Femaleseeds.nl started selling the diff crosses of NH. I was very surprised by this plant. Durning veg is was growing very fast, so i topped the main cola and about a week later it was already caught up and growing very fast again. To be honest the plant scared the hell out of me, i didnt know what to expect. so i vegged about 3-5 weeks then started flowering her. and i was very surprised that it hardley stretched at all, it must be more indica dominant. the final plant is problably two feet tall from the top of the pot to the top of the plant. I cant wait to pop the other 3 beans and see if any of the plants get like 15 feet tall with a 120+ flower days.

p.s. im using a 400 hps and i LST a lot on her. i plan on chopping her about March 10 before i go to amsterdam.....when i get back ill try and post a pic of the dried product

International Cannagraphic Magazine Forums - Green House Seeds (http://www.icmag.com/ic/forumdisplay.php?f=65571)

heres a greenhouse forum on another website i go to......in a lot of the threads there seem to be a lot of conflict with the independent pro growers and "trolls" working for arajan and stuff. but like i said i dont have experience with gh, im just going buy what the credible people have to say.:twocents:

dont think you can really go wrong with green house theve been around awhile and there well known for their white widow.
would probably stay away from feminised seed from any company as the chance for getting some hermie is greater.

well like i said i do want to get fem. seeds becasue right now i dont have the space to have a mother plant hopefully that will change another reason is i wasnt to scrog the plant and i rather go on a higher percentage on getting a female then getting a male and having to unwind all the branhces and leaves which is a major pain,

thanks keeko that link was very helpfull in choosing a good seed breeder i i have to say that everyone has nothing but good things to say about femaleseeds.nl but alot of people seem to like greenhouse as well but they dont like there female seeds. does any one know how long it usually takes to deliver to the U.S. from seedboutique

keeko
02-28-2007, 06:53 AM
from the time they got my money it was about 2.5 weeks

another great breeder is mandala mike. He breeds for medicinal purposes so his strains offer qualities that help people that could use medical mj. they are pretty cheap too, they just dont make female seeds. my next buy is mandala hashberry.

Seed boutique wants you to mail them a money order. From what I know personally and what I have read from multiple sources is there is some good advice being given here. Without badmouthing any particular seed dealers, those companies selling dozens of different strains typically are trading quality for quantity. In my opinion it is well worth the extra money to steer clear of companies that are in the cheap knock off business and pay more for seeds from companies that only have a few strains. Since I quit using another companies female seeds and switched to Female Seeds NL , the potency of my final product has gone up noticably.

I personally wish these 'feminized' seeds would just go away :weedpoke: - just grow out regular seeds, and accept a few males - males that can be discarded, or used to make yourself more seeds - 'feminized' seeds almost guarantee hermaphrodiic offspring, and contaminate true breeding lines - protect future generations, and pass up those 'feminized' bastards - just my :twocents:

My opinion is different than yours, freewheelinfrank, but I don't think either of us is wrong. Outdoors the female seeds make a lot of sense, indoors, why bother. Because most growers are just indoors, your opinion is right most of the time. My experience has been that grown outdoors, only about 1% of female seeds turn hermaphrodite, and they only do it then when they are badly stressed. Us outdoor folks, if we don't buy female seeds are left with two choices. We can "go natural" and then return to our dangerous sites once a week to kill half our plants so that the other half aren't seedy and ruined, or we have to have a pretty much full blown indoor oreration that allows us to make female clones. For outdoor growers, female seeds make sense. Indoor growers have a lot more hermaphrodite problems, they don't sweat killing the males like us outdoor growers do, and they get to keep the best of the best going via clones. just my take, any other opinions?

Hello people,

Does anyone here have any experience or knowlege of how Sensi seeds "Skunk#1" compares to the Flying Dutchman version of Skunk#1 that is called "The pure"?

Any other suggestions on the best available Skunk#1. in terms of potency and consistency (S#1, not other skunk varieties)

Thank you

bob

good answer, I admit I hadn't taken outdoor growing into account - I strictly grow indoors, so it is no big thing for me to cull any males -

what i did was order off the internet, print out the conformation number and list of your seeds and mailed that along with a money order for the amout of the seeds to SB.

when you order it will say something like " we wont ship out your order until we recieve your payment".....so wait maybe a week and check back on the SB web site to see if they recieved your money. then they will send conformation saying your shipment was sent out. after that it took about 1.5-2 weeks to get a package.

First, sorry about the skunk 1 post above in the wrong forum (it was a mistake)

About the fem seeds: As someone else said, they are a great option for outdoor only growers who do not have a full blown indoor setup or the ability to get or produce clones. Years ago, I had a full indoor op and cloning was the only way to go. Now I just have a small little spot to start my vegatable and flower seedlings and then they go right outside. I hope more selections of female seeds will become available in the future.
