I am hoping that some people with experience can give me some advice as to what they would do in my situation. I also have a few questions. I have been clean for a week when I found out I might be getting this job but that wont do much good with my recent habits. Dilution is a last resort backup plan at this point. I now understand why its not worth the stress of being in this position that can ruin my dreams.

I am about to take a subtance abuse screen for employment very soon. The thing is the friend i was depending on had smoked lasted saturday which puts me in a bind (not his fault but mine for being in the situation). He hasn't smoked prior since new years and very rarely prior to new years maybe twice a month. Although I think it will be ok, I am still skeptical to use his urine. After a week I would think he is fine but I don't want to take a chance of failing if not necessary. Could use a self "home test" but of course that is not a guarantee. Finding another friend in the area will be tough so I was looking into synthetic - Quick Fix 4.0.

I have two packages of QF4 since I have read suggestions to take two bottles to be sure you give enough and don't make it look like an obvious, set amount of liquid. The only thing is that I am also skeptical of using synthetic as I am afraid it can at some point be detected even if you get the correct temp.

1) Can someone tell me if QF 4.0 can be deemed synthetic by lab testing generally used for employment tests given the right temp?

2) Would your suggestion be to use this friends urine or go synthetic?

3) If using a handwarmer that gets up to 115+ F can you "cook" real OR synthetic urine to the point where its no good? I recently found "toe warmers" at a sporting goods store that supposedly only reached about 105 F. I wouldnt want to use these if when I practice the temp is hard to keep above or at 98 if the warmer doesnt reach max temps.

4) If its a substance abuse screen and I use a friends urine, should I be sure that they haven't consumed alchohol in the day? 2 days? Being a legal substance, do they check for alchohol abuse? I should research this but I figured it would be quicker to ask since I am already asking other hard to find questions/answers :)

5) Not really a question but a statement. If you are looking for a job or plan on getting one, do yourself a favor and play it safe. STOP smoking ASAP! Its not worth the stress and the possibility of ruining what could be a career that you have worked very hard for.

Thanks in advance for your opinions and answers!

Did I say something wrong? Figured I would get a response by now on at least one of the four questions.

Ok, I have past the last 15-16 supervised tests so I will speak on what I know.

Synthetic- I don't use it. Fuck it. I still have it but don't intend on using it. I'm almost inclinded to say that I have heard of people still failing with it but I'm not sure.

I use a friend's urine. Alcohol is supposed to be out of your system by atleast 48 hours- usually much sooner than that.

They aren't screaning for alcohol, just drugs so that shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks, kknight. Very much appreciated!

Question for you. You said supervised tests? Where they watch you? Do you have a prosthetic penis? Just curious if they watch, what you do...

Nvm. I see you have a wizzinator from past posts.

Do you have randoms or are they for pre-employment?

Neither. I am watched from the other side of a window in the restroom I have to use when I take them.

I am a FIRM believer of quick fix. it is what i use when i run into a situation. a couple of things for you-you cannot overcook the quick fix with a heat pad. if by chance you go to take your test and the urine is too hot, tell them you can't pee yet and let it cool down for 15 minutes. the lab cannot tell that it is fake pee. the reason that i use synthetic instead of someone else's pee is because quick fix has a 2 year shelf life. I get hit with randoms on my job. when they call my name, i am heading to the lab so I don't have enough time to find someone that is clean to pee for me.

if you are nervous about using the qf you can call spectrum. you can get their number or email off of their website urineluck.com. when i first starting using it, i called them with all kinds of question and they were great about giving me any info that i need.

good luck

Thanks again for the response dawninthemorning. I was thinking of stalling and saying I couldn't go if it was too hot.

As a tip for anyone taking the time to read this... the toe-warmers are perfect if you know when you will have the test. Based on my personal tests, they stay between 100-105 F and its easier to cool that down than the hand-warmers which seem to run 10 F more. I would probably take the warmer off before going into the med center as long as you dont have to wait too long. I have found that the temp drops about a degee for about every 5 minutes in the crotch without the warmer

Anyone have similar testing results?

I just passed a random using quick fix and a lava pad. before i got tested i practiced by driving myself to the hospital after work and waiting in the parking lot for what i thought would be the time i waited in the hospital. So i was still nervous because i had a timeline but it might not be exact. My boss one day says he needs me to take a random, so i got nervous, then said ok-lets do this. My plan was always to click the liquid reusable handwarmer when i got in the bosses car to go to the hospital and it would be the correct temp in 13-23 minutes or so. Well--------------i clicked it as soon as we got into the car(like itching an itch how scary is that?)and we drove to the hospital. I asked if this would be fast, and he didnt know, saying we didnt have an appt. So i was like shit- this may get too hot! But i didnt wait long at all b4 my name was called so then i was like shit- this may not heat up enough-- but i pulled it out in the bathroom @ 96 degrees. perfect. I know im more confident for my next one.
