Alright.. This is the story..

I went over to my friends house early in the morning to smoke some weed.. Everything was good.. We packed a bowl and started playing Killzone.. After a few hits my friend set his bong down and started playing again.. i knew it was my hit but i didnt bother picking the bong up.. i was so high...Then my friend reaches over for his bag and papers to roll a clear joint.. ( those kick so much ass :thumbsup: ) .....And his arm hit the bong and it fell over and snapped in half.. it was soooo sad..for like 5 mins we just sat there and stared at the broken bong...i turned and said.. See thats what happends when you throw a bong.. NEVER throw a bong.. to try to cheer him up over the deseaced bong...he got sad.. then a wave of anger hit him.. he started punching walls etc.. i told him .. " yeah wait 30 seconds.. then your gonna wish you didnt do that" .. sure enought 25 seconds later he clenched his hand and let out a howl.. i told him dude your an idiot dont punch the fucking walls moron.. and i can fix your bong take it down stairs and let me see the blowtorch..for 5-10 mins i sat spraying his bong with a blowtorch hoping the glass could get hot enough around the edges to somwhat mold back and be airtight again.. it didnt...

How long does it take to hit a bong with a blowtorch to fix it?

and ps.. i laughed after the fact for him breaking his newly bong 2 days after he got it back..SEE THATS WHY I LIKE METAL BOWLS.. YOU CAN THROW THEM ACROSS ROOMS AND IT WONT BREAK.. Pfftt... i still feel bad about him breaking his bong.

No way man. The whole bong would turn red and get hot before you started to liquify the glass. Even if you could melt the glass, they're not just gonna stick together. The two peiced would have to be pressed together. You'd basically be having to make a new bong.
I've allways just used super glue to fix my shit, but I'm sure there's a better adhesive out there. Maybe someone who works with glass could fix it, but I doubt you'd be able to do it with basic household tools.

I'm interested to see if I'm wrong though. If anyone else has had better luck, then speak up.

oh and if its a clean break....try epoxy....it might work even if its not a clean break

you cant really fix a glass bong with out knowing how blown glass works and everthing. but you didnt break it so why should you be the one fixing it?

if you can fit the 2 pieces together perfectly..i would melt some wax onto it...then ducttape it

Yeah Masta im still on probation.. decided to come back and check in..
I dont care to much about it.. I still get high ALL the time..

And i wanted to help fix his bong because it hit like a champ..im gonna miss it..But.. I guess he can try glue etc to fix it.. But i told him to save the glass bottom and try to make a new bong.. or tape. Lol

Oh it isnt a clean break.. i will try to get pics.. doubt it tho

dude.. i have a bong, me and my now dead brother used to smoke out of... some asshat broke it... i've tried everything... it's as good as gone.... (i don't remember who or where i heard this, allthough it was off here... windshield repair kits do not work...)

and if that glass didn't break after you got it hot with the blowtorch then cooled down again, i'm truely shocked.... i've spent alot of hours, and many many many empty glass alcohol bottles using a blow torch trying to turn them into bongs.... i've got it down to easy as helll to punch the hole in the glass (once it's glowing red hot you just take an ice pick and push through, then once it isn't quite so red anymore, move the pick slowly to the side, and it'll snap off all the excess shit...)

but once they cool it's a hit or miss type thing.. literally out of about 100 bottles heated, and holes punched through them, once it cooled, maybe 2 would come out ok... but even then it becomes so brittle, the slightest tape, cracks it completely... you need a kiln to slowly cool glass in... the rapid change in tempature makes it extremely unstable (once you put the hole in it you better step away, because if they crack, i'ts not just little cracks through the glass... this shit shatters and shoots out... can you imagine being sprayed with cigarette ash sized 500 degree + glass shards...)

it's not fun... let me tell you that lmao.. it hurts like a son of a bitch, and trying to rub it off does nothing, cuz it's glass... it cuts into your skin.. (yes i figured this out the hard way)

it's time ot gather some money and go get a better bong that replaces the thought of the old one... cuz theres nothing you can.. or atleast nothing you can that looks clean... you can super glue it or use epoxxy, but that looks like shit.. and who wants to hang onto a bong with crust and diffrent colors all over it? (as in diffrent colors, that dried super glue white running through the cracks, or epoxxy which is usually grey)
