about the racers.... racing cross country for millions?

well i dunon about the millions, but apparently, it's not some new concept...

Yea I've seen the previews a few times now. I acutally want to check it out. It has the guy from Firefly in it. Aparently someone kidnapped his family or something and is trying to make him race.

Sorry I couldn't bring myself to click the link. I just ate dinner and don't think I could watch a faces of death scene :wtf:

lol dude it's not really a faces of death thing.. just shows a real live cross country race in action.. no death, no crashes

and i can't believe you mentioned firefly... i've never seen that show (but i know it exists) i love... FUCKING LOVE serenity... it's up there with lord of war... i've watched it so many times my wife goes "oh no" or "goddamnit..." when i start playing either.... o.0

This is a takeoff of "The Cannonball Baker Sea to Shining Sea Memorial Trophy Dash" Sponsered by Motor Trend Mag in 1974...also made famous by the movies "Cannonball" and "The Gumball Rally"
This was a real race that started at the Red Ball Garage in N.Y.C. and ended at the peir in Rendondo Beach Ca. It was won by SCCA race car driver Dan Gurney and Motor Trend writer/engine builder Brock Yates in a 1973 Ferreri 365 GTb in 36hr,16 min...avg speed 133.4 mph top seed 174 mph!

I loved Firefly, I watched every episode until it got cancelled. I'm still a little pissed off at that, they should start making new ones on SiFi.

Okay we have to send letters to the Firefly people. I learned in tech writing the other day that every letter a studio recieves counts as 10,000 people having that same exact thought... So yeah. Maybe, just maybe, if enough letters reach their desk, they will start making new episodes.

Wow I'm really high and got a little carried away there.

Thank you, I just book marked the site. I really did hate fox for that show though. They should have none it wouldn't last. If only it could have been a SiFi original.
