I've been reading this thread in hopes of trying to eliminate repition of the same questions over and over, but I'm sure I will anyway.

Here's my situation:

I'm a woman in my thirties. 5'8", 140lbs, very fit. I work out 5-7x a week (mostly cardio, some weights, etc.). I also take a multi-vitamin (One a Day Weight Smart), which has EGCG in it, and drink about 3 cups of black tea/day and tons of water. I also sauna once or twice a week and get acupuncture and yoga, which have specific needles and asanas (movements) to promote healthy liver function. I've also been drinking Traditional Medicinals detox tea.

I have been looking for work and now have my 3rd interview at a major bank.

During the past few months, I've only smoked twice - the first week of October (about a half a joint) and the last time was on Thursday (stupid, yes, but I couldn't take it any more). I only took about 4 hits off a joint - enough to get me baked since I haven't been smoking.

So, I know they are trying to push interview process through quickly. They haven't said anything about a test, because I met first with the hiring manager, HR is next.

Here are my questions:

1) is there any place to find out if the specific company I work tests, and which test they use?
2) If they put me on the spot with a saliva test, what is your best advice?
3) one of the (legally prescribed) Chinese herbs I take has "cannibis root" in it. Any chance this would show a positive test, and do you think this would be a good excuse?
4) Any additional advice for flushing this out of my system?
5) I bought the Walgreen's marijuana home testing kit. How accurate is it?

Thanks for all the help!

1) Highly Doubtful.

2) Attempt to make it to the stick touches as little of your saliva as possible. They'll probably have to retake the test, but that won't be for a week or more so you'll have time to additionally flush your system.

3) Yes, also you can claim that you take readily available supplements ((purchase some from any health-supplement store and carry them in your purse so you can show them to the interviewer)) called "Hemp Oil". They cause positive testing for THC. If you use both in conjunction, you're double-likely to get away with it.

4) Cranberry Juice, Water, and B-Vitamins to keep color in your pee.

5) Almost as accurate as the tests they use, if they use the same method of testing.

Hope I helped.

Yes, you have helpeed, Encatuse, thank you.

What would "hemp oil" be used for, specifically, if asked?

I went backto the Chinese herb bottle and realize it says "cannibis staiva seed", not "cannibis root" on it.

Another question: if asked what type of medication etc. I am take regularly, what should I list just to try to cover my bases? Aspirin? Ibuprofen? Chinese herbs? Anything else?

Hemp oil contains 57% linoleic (LA) and 19% linolenic (LNA) acids, in the three-to-one ratio that matches our nutritional needs. These are the essential fatty acids (EFAâ??s)-so called because the body cannot make them and must get them from external sources.

I'd recommend telling them you take vitamins, hemp oil, and a baby aspirin on a daily basis. I'd also recommend doing all these things. :) If they tell you they wont hire you if you're testing positive for THC, tell them that you're willing to quit taking the Hemp Oils as getting this job is very important to you.

Your best defense here may be ignorance. So when they tell you that you've tested positive for THC act surprised. Tell them you take several health supplements on a daily basis and you're wondering if that could be the cause of it. Show them your bottle of Hemp Oil ((which will likely warn of the possibility of false THC positives on it)) and ask if they think that's a possibility because you haven't smoked marijuana since your teens.

P.S. This hemp oil excuse has worked for me and my girlfriend. ^.^ They didn't ask for a re-test nor that we stop taking our supplements ((not that we were ever really taking them)) You might want to not have the pill container completely full, just so it looks like you take them.

Wow, maybe I should read my posts before hitting send (such bad grammar!).

Thanks again for your help.

I wonder too if I should take Creatin or some other stuff. It's only been 4 days since I smoked, but only that one time. I'm so stressed out over this nonsense.

creatine (actually creatinine, the metabolite of creatine) is for flushing. it won't hide any THC metablites. if your intentions are to be clean of THC (and everything you're doing is excellent for that) then don't rely on a flush; which some labs count as positive on an immunoassay and will confirm with a gc-ms; which analyze for THC on a molecular level and flushing doesn't affect them.
and as far as the hemp oil alibi, a US Marine won a court martial case a few years back by claiming that. since then some, if not most, companies have taken the psychoactive chemicals out, thus you wouldn't have the cannabinoids in your urine. but the Chinese Medicine "curve" sounds good. haven't heard much about that either way. hope that helps

I went to the interview(s) today, so I know now what the timeline would be, and have a reprive before the actual testing.

I took the Walgreen's marijuana-specific test today and it came up negative only 4 days after smoking. I hope that's a good sign!

Now I'll just behave myself between now and then, but you can bet that I'll be celebrating hard when I (finally) get a job!

I'm still sticking with my Chinese herb story if there's a problem. Hey, it was legally prescribed. That's my story and I'm sticking to it ;-)
