i dont know what chicago is thinking....

i mentioned in another thread that lovie hadnt reached a deal yet..it appears he wont be either, as he is still the lowest paid coach in the nfl, only earning 1.45 million this coming season, a mere 10,00 dollars more than last season...there will be no contract extension and lovie will now be a free agent...the bears should fix this....they should be embarassed....

teams dont get to the superbowl, or any of the playoffs, without a good coach..it is that simple..they are as responsible for success, or lack thereof, as the players...

what a shame...

shame on you chicago..shame on you virginia mccaskey..shame on you

Yeah, I'm a little baffled with this whole situation. He obviously deserves a much better contract. I have no idea what the hell Chicago is thinking. Do they no realize what the loss of Lovie would do to the team? He could get paid so much more any where else...

i concur...

and i hope he does...he deserves better....

if the team is having money problems, i am sure they could take some of grossman's pay to make up for it....ha

Apparently Lovie wants to stay. He said that he's real proud of the Chicago organization he loves being a part of it. Bleeeeh.

That's garbage. Come on, Smith. Are you really gonna let the Bears make you their little bitch? I mean...the lowest paid coach in the league?! Geez.

They're working on potential "optimistic contract possibilities". What is that? I'm thinking Lovie should take one more year of this, and if Chicago doesn't change its ways by next year, he should find himself a better paying position. Hell, he could even make more in Houston.

I hate the Bears, but I have a lot of respect for Lovie. You deserve better.

no kidding...

could you imagine him at new england? or pittsburgh?

he is an awesome coach, with a great style of coaching..sad to see him being taken advantage of..i thought that shit stopped in the 40s...ha

on another note...how much do you follow football? what do you think of this quinn shit? nothing like being your own parade or anything...

you mean brady quinn? is he talking himself up? wouldnt surprise me if his ego has gotten huge with all the ass-kissing he's received from the media this last year. although as a ND fan, he deserves a good chunk of it. the man has been $$$$$ inside 2 minutes, does throw a nice ball. just unfortunately, hasnt shown up in the biggest games of his career. to say he melts under pressure is bullshit though, cause last year, almost led a much weaker ND team to an upset over the mighty USC.

but back to the topic. the bears let rivera go, and now are on the verge of losing lovie. they need to act quick. in a short time, he turned around that team. he's making them consistently good, something dick jauron could never do, only had that fluke 13-3 year(which they never beat GB).

yes i was speaking of that mr quinn......he is pretty good, but you know, college ball isnt nfl ball, and an ego like this, this early, is going to lead him to nothing but heartbreak down the road....he reminds me of when TO got started, and look how THAT has turned out...he needs some humility..can you imagine him going to a nfl team and pulling that shit on a seasoned nfl player? they will have his dick in the dirt in no time...ha...

every game i watched with quinn playing (granted i didnt watch them all)but every game i watched him play in, i was not impressed. not impressed at all. i may not know that much about football, but i think if quinn was a steeler he'd get the same garbage on the lawn as ol tommy gun got.

i did happen to watch a lot of quinn. he's much in the way of tom brady, thriving under the tutelage of weis. he's getting NFL coaching at the college level, and what more could you ask for? he was money inside the two minute warning(driving ND to score at the end of the 1st half vs GT in season opener, game winning drive vs UCLA this year), the big comeback against michigan state showed he has desire not just to play, but to win. plus the thriller vs USC last year, he kept a much weaker ND team very alive in the game, and the defense couldnt pull through at the end.

I agree with the MOD? He does deserve better and I wish he would have been offered the spot in Tampa. We tried to get into contact with some of his ppl but by the time Tampa tried it was all over.
