I had two males in my garden and killed them aboutm 3 weeks ago. I was wondering if it would be possible to re-use the soil in the pots? I ripped out the bottom of the plant, all thats left in the soil is stringy roots.

Reusing soil increases risk of pest infestation and toxic salt buildup problems.
Have I done it before? Yup.
Would I recommend it? No way.
Throw that dirt in your garden or give one of your houseplants a new home.

no ones really going to recommend it, your risking some serious problems.

and how much is soil... Well a cube of sunlight #4 is 20$ and it's 80 L
so for 3 gallon pots its costing 75 cents each...

is it worth the risk?

Yeah your asking for all kinds of problems, the cost of a 50lb bale of good organic soil six bucks and 1 and 1/2 pound of bat chit 8 dollars. hum no brainer, no offense dude, and good luck.

I don't remember that....???
I've reused soil (one of my dirty little secrets) but out of necessity... wintertime... my mixing tub frozen SOLID...
Be prepared for all sorts of fun lockouts to diagnose and fix!
