Oh yeah, I forgot about that.

Some say he was forced to pull the trigger by The Man, but who knows.

He was a journalist, and that wonderful movie Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, was based on his personal experiences back in the 70's. Yes, the drugs and mayhem is all based on the original reality film he made called Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trial '74.

He is actually in Fear and Loathing when Depp has a flashback during the 1969 San Francisco acid wave, when he is wandering through the club and says, "holy shit, that's me". Shortly after a guy says in slow motion, "anyone want some LSD? All we need is a place to go"

And if you haven't seen that movie, then go, go now and rent it! :p

"anyone want some LSD? All I need is a place to cook"

*Fixed. This is a great movie! I watched it with Hunter Thompson commentating. I wish I had the book, or knew of a store that would actually sell it :(

He says cook? I thought it was go. :o

Oh well, doesn't matter, but Flea in that movie is great! "what's the trouble?" :p I laughed my ass off when I saw that part.

If you can't find the book in stores, which you won't, order it through Chapters or Amazon books. They can get any book you desire. :)

I doubt he committed suicide. He was in the process of writing a book exposing the Franklin Coverup. If you don't know what that is go here:

The Franklin Coverup Scandal The Child sex ring that reached Bush/Reagan Whitehouse (http://www.thelawparty.org/FranklinCoverup/franklin.htm)

He's isn't the only one who has "committed suicide" in an attempt to keep this quiet.
