The Big Easy

I am a rookie at growing, Ive had small projects in the past but, they were just to get the hang of it. In December, I had a plant that I never really took seriously, I was gone for 4 weeks, and it had little light and no water, neglect, I know. But when I got back I found it still hanging on, so I made an effort it revive it. I took good care of it and it made a full recovery. At that time, in January, I got two more plants going. I have a small grow space, that cant handle real tall plants. The older plant is doing fantastic, growing about 5 in a week. But the problem is I need to start to bud it before it gets too tall and the other two arent close to ready. Right now my only plan is to try to get the smaller to as big as possible before the big one gets too tall. Once it reaches maximum height, Im just going to bud it and hope for the best. If you pros got any ideas I would appreciate it. I know that was a noobie thing to do, but I guess thats what practise is for.
